The postman just came and handed me a box. On the outside it said "15 Years of making vacation dreams come true". I'm stood looking, trying to think what on earth i've signed up for and forgot. Inside it's got a gift box with a birthday cake where you pull the tab and the candles pop up and along with our 2007/8 vacation planner, there's a cute boxed and ready to hang giclée print of Mickey and the DVC resorts. :excited:

It feels like my birthday, I love surprises! :D

It' not the kind of thing you'd hang on the lounge wall :lol: but it's nice for the kids :D

We got ours on Friday and the kids were fighting over who got to have it in their room...I put it in the closet and they have both forgotten about it now :rolleyes:

On the DVC site it says they'll be delivered by Oct 31st :thumbs: and to buy extras they're $50 plus tax! :eek:

We went last year Cathy and were given a Christmas ornament similar to that on the way out! We'll definitely be going this year, it was good fun! I like all these gifts! :excited:

So when are these "Merry Mixer meetings"? I'm guessing, that since Christmas doesn't start at Disney until the day after we leave (11/12) there won't be one while we're there...
Off to dvcmember.com to see what I can find out!

It starts in December. I couldn't find it on the DVC web site, yet, either. There is a blurb in the October Vacation Magic. (I sent you a PM with the specific details from the October Vacation Magic. :D )

The Merry Mixers are good fun! I took Seth Nicholas to one last Christmas time and he had a wicked ball! He danced with reindeer and played with hula hoops, had cookes, made a Christmas ornament, drank cider, listened to music and had his photo taken with Goofy! There were elves there too.

The one we attended was just outside the IG at WS.

I've been to a couple and they do give you nice little token gifts. One year it was a DVC member keyfob, and for the life of me I can't remember last year's! LOL. Too busy with the boy, I guess.

They'll have the info out later on, as the time approaches. Most are during the week, some where around 3-5 pm? Can't quite remember.

I think the MMM are every Thursday in December this year :unsure:

Yay! I got my beee-uuu-teee-ful picture in the mail yesterday! I cannot believe they send that free. this is the nicest thing i've gotten since joining. I can't wait to hang it in my WDW themed office!!

just thought i'd let ya know that they had these pics at SSR gift shop for $50! Is that so all of us DVC members can think we got a really smokin' deal? hehehe
