Hi I am considering going to discovery Cove if we go again next Summer, however I am on the 'generous' side of sizing (like Phil Jupitus for our UK readers) I think the dolphin swim is in a wet suit if so up to what size can they accomodate?

You have a choice of either wetsuit or a swimvest, whichever you prefer

Andy, I wouldn't worry if I were you, I've seen folks a lot larger than yourself in wetsuits at DC so I'm sure they will have your size.
You can always go to the DC website and email them from there.....they are pretty quick at responding to emails and that would put your mind at rest. :)

the water might feel a little cold for a tiny bit - the water has to be cold because of the dolphins, but you will warm up very quickly!!

Here's a pic of the swim vests and you can see the wetsuits as well, which are knee length.

As for the cold, it's not that bad, you get used to it pretty quick, in fact you probably dry off quicker in a swim vest as more of your skin is in the sun, whereas I think the wetsuit would take longer to dry off......I think :)

I had a vest as its easier to take on and off when not in water, the initial couple of seconds chilly, but its all so beautiful you get used to it quick. Those other things give me claustrophobia! You will be fine in one of those, there were some very large people day we went, everybody had one that fitted. Fantastic day I would recommend to anyone, a day never to forget.

Hello, we just got back from Orlando and spent our first day at Discovery Cove, bearing in mind this is October the water didn't seem too cold at all, I had a swim vest on and that felt too much a lot of the time! I think you may be too hot in a wet suit. It was one of the most amazing days ever, so worth the money. :)

My wife has just said she fancied doing this next year so it looks as though we will. How is the best way to book this in the UK

Hi Andy
I went on to the official Discovery Cove website and booked it online, which seemed to be a good price and was really easy (www.discoverycove.com (http://www.discoverycove.com)). They recommend to do it quite a long time in advance (up to 3 months) . You also get Seaworld or Busch gardens admission in the price.
Have a great time.
