I'm sure this has been asked by I can't find it.
What car hire firms are actually on-site at MCO? I only know Dollar but I want to shop around. :D

We rent (when we rent) from National - and they are on site.

Alamo and budget are also onsite. Alamo are now part of national I think but they still have separate desks etc.

Here's the page from the MCO main site http://www.orlandoairports.net/goaa/ops/rac.htm
When my brother and I went last time to see my dad adn got a rental car we used L&M because we didn't have a reservation and they had the shortest line. They ended up being cheaper and we got an upgrade for free to an SUV :D

got this from the mco website dawn
Orlando International Airport is the largest car rental market in the world. All major rental car companies are easily accessible from the airport. A few of these companies are located within the airport premises. The rental companies include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, L and M, and National.

Mike check the insurance as some of the US bookings do not include all the ones we require.

We found last year it was cheaper to book on the UK website of the co rather than the US Dollar site

I generaly book with a site such as holiday autos and they seem to have cheaper rates than the direct sites. US site rates do not always include the level of insurance protection that a UK hirer would need as often a US hirer would have yransferable cover from their own motor or personal insurances. Remember the legal minimum insurance is much lower than this country and is well below that required to cover damage to another car and the possible injury claim as well as the damage to the hire car.
