View Full Version : Anyone interested in Animal Kingdom Villas?

I have read that an announcement was made for Animal Kingdom Villas. The anticipated opening beginning Fall 2007 through the completion date of Spring 2009.

I don't see anything on the DVC web site, yet (it might be too early), but I have heard that it was published in the Orlando Sentinel (Orlando Sentinel article (http://www.orlandosentinel.com/business/custom/tourism/orl-disneyhotel1206oct12,1,255616.story?coll=orl-business-headlines-tourism) ) and also broadcast on the news.

I was hoping that they would announce the Contemporary Resort Villas, but this is still pretty exciting news! Has anyone been waiting for Animal Kingdom Villas?

I can see it having the same kind of unique experience idea as AKL and the theming at AKL is hard to beat... not just the animals but the whole african theme. So, in that way I can imagine it being good.

BUT I won't be rushing to buy DVC just to get that as my home resort, I PROBABLY would for the contemporary

I think it's wicked exciting. I like the AKL much better than the Contemporary, but I respect the historical value, so to speak, of the Contemporary. I like AK, and EPCOT best, so being close to MK isn't a real draw for me either.

Now, the question becomes, how much will the points cost. I've never added on to my original contract. This could possibly entice me to do so.

After all, I have just paid off the OKW loan. :D :D

I wouldn't buy at AKL, but would probably stay there a few nights now on points. The 4 or 5 times i've visited the resort i've not been wowed. I'll wait for the CR too ;)

we stayed at akl once & loved it so a villa there would thrill my kids. HOnestly, i like when they build a resort just as a DVC place instead of just adding on to existing. I wanna see something new come up (but more exciting than SSR).

I was in WDW when they had the release a DVC salesmen at Downown disney told me . He als said there is more to come. Disneyland unoffical .
