Is it possible to get a Lynx bus to the Walt Disney World from International Drive? We are looking for the cheapest way to get to the parks from I-Drive, can you recommend something?

The No. 50 (i believe) bus goes from outside Seaworld to the TTC. It's a cheap way, but a time consuming time

We have often used the Lynx buses and the I Ride as we are non drivers. You will need to use both to get there.Where exactly on the Drive are you staying as sometimes it can take a while to reach your destination? Take the I Ride south and get off at stop 38 near Seaworld. Then cross the road and catch the Lynx bus No 50 to the Transportation Centre at WDW. From there you can make your way into the parks. It is straightforward and cheap. Make sure you buy your weekly or fortnightly I Ride ticket form your hotel (we bought ours online before we went and printed the voucher) and then you can exchange it on board for a ticket. I believe you can buy daily/weekly Lynx tickets too - if you go to there site you will get the details and bus timetables. Lots of people use this option as it gives added flexibility when the shuttles only run at certain times. We never used shuttles to Seaworld and Wet n Wild BTW as the I Ride is a much better option. We also used the I Ride as far as Wet n Wild and crossed to Universal Boulevard (10 min walk) to reach US and IOA. We are fairly well seasoned non drivers now! Hope this helps.

We used the Lynx bus on our first trip to WDW but it is very time consuming. Sometimes a single journey from our hotel door to the park could take in excess of an hour.

If you decide to take the LYNX (http://www.golynx.com/) buses, here is your route:
-Depending on where along I-Drive you are staying, you will need to take bus 42 (http://www.golynx.com/routemaps/42.gif) which runs along I-Drive.
-Transfer on Westwood Boulevard and take bus 50 (http://www.golynx.com/routemaps/50.gif). This one will take you to the TTC in front of MK.
-To go to any other park, use Disney transportation.
As tweenie said, it can be very time consuming with up to three busses to take. Just for kicks I tried it once, got on the Lynx 42 in front of Wet 'N' Wild, transfered to Lynx 50 at the TTC in front of MK and then took Disney transportation to Epcot. It was a good day, no traffic nor rain and it took me 1 hour 25 minutes.
You also have to pay attention to the bus schedules, Lynx 42 (http://www.golynx.com/schedule.cfm?route=42) and Lynx 50 (http://www.golynx.com/schedule.cfm?route=50), as for example, the last Lynx 50 bus leaves the TTC at 9:57pm during weekdays and if you are in another park, you need to get there by Disney transportation meaning leaving the park way in advance.

No problem! I would seriously look at a hotel towards the southern end of the Drive as it will greatly reduce your journey time. We stayed in Homewood Suites (fantastic place) in order to do the I Drive area and then transferred to a hotel in WDW after 7 days. However there quite a few times when we went back and foth from WDW to I Drive and I Drive to WDW.
You could consider a split stay. I find that ideal for the non driver and it will cut out all those long journies. We always split our stay now and know quite a few families who do the same.
We always use the I Ride and Lynx 50 - we just find the I Ride more frequent on the Drive than the Lynx buses .

The best location I think is any hotel next to Sea World. Just a short walk to Sea World, you can take the I-Ride Trolley (http://iridetrolley.com/index.html) which runs all along I-Drive and to go to Disney, it's a short (less than 5 min) walk to the intersection of I-Drive and Westwood Boulevard where Lynx 50 picks-up.
I live in front of Sea World and see lots of people at this intersection waiting to get Lynx 50 to take them to Disney every morning on my way to work
