One of my kids all time favorite movies is the jungle book, when it was released on DVD we did not own a DVD player so I did not buy one ... well now ofcourse they are not selling them is there somewhere I can find out if they will ever release this movie again? I have looked on ebay but there are so many bootlegs I dont want to buy from there not to mention the high prices some sellers are asking!

Is this the original? The reason I ask DD is in the school play which is based on the Disney version of Jungle Book and I could not find it anywhere, I did check Amazon, there was another version but not the traditional Disney one. I ended up buying a used video of it for £2 from E-Bay and its fine.

Thanks for looking for me!!I see them on amazon, prices for a new one a bit high, and again not sure if it is a orginal or a copy ... and the boxed set WOW new starting at $359 up to $779 are you kidding :eek: should have bought it when it came out! I was hoping disney would re-release the jungle book and I could get it from the store, well I will just have to keep watching my old VHS copy

They release these things about every 7 years. Or at least they used to. It'll be back around again.

There's supposed to be a 2 disc Platinum box set out next Oct. :)

I've had a few good buys from Ebay - as long as you check out the sellers feedback you should be ok!

What Paula said: Peter Pan and The Jungle Book are next year's big re-releases. Ultimate Disney also list a Walt's Legacy DVD collection that looks like it could be very cool (starting with "Secrets, Stories and Magic of the Happiest Place on Earth). Kinda like the Treasures collection, which I own but haven't watched all the way through...

yeah!! my VHS tape is really worn out and this is one of my all time favorite movies :D
