just watched the above tonight, and although it was ok-good i thought it was a bit overhyped didnt think it was as good as people have said. i must say i really like jonny depps character, he really plays a good sort of cockney character if you can call it that. i recorded it and will watch it again on my own when everyones back at work etc

We watched last night, first time I had seen it, but DH has seen 3 times,
I didn't really get it even though he kept explaining things, still I have sat through a lot worse.
Special effects for the crew of the Black Pearl were great

i thought it was great - i didn't see it all last night but have seen it before, DS12 has seen the 2nd one but i haven't yet.

It is a good film, it's just a little long - the second one is quite a bit better, IMHO.

The second one does seem to have more action and noise!!! I watched it on our flight over to the US in November so need to get the DVD out to watch again now.:)

I loved the first one! The second one was good but it really left you hanging. I guess thats why they are coming out with the third. :D The second one had so many water scenese I felt as though I had been swimming for days when I left the theater.:lol:

i agree the SFX are good, you never know i might like it a lot more on second viewing, that often happens with me. there was a lot of people in the room and really hot too, sister beeping with her new phone and so on, so watch this space :D

If you want to watch it again I would try to get it on DVD, I have seen it so many times that it was really irratating last night, I noticed every little edit and cut sceen, and there were far more than I thought there would be even for early evening.

well it was daft, but it was good fun too - i loved JD in it, he was really funny :D

I'll admit that I wasn't a big Johnny Depp fan until I saw him in PotC. But the role of Capt Jack Sparrow seemed to be made exactly for him!

He was very good in Sleepy Hollow too, but then i dont think i have seen him in a movie where he wasnt good. He seems to be able to play any kind of role! Captain Jack is probably the best one though! :D

There was a picture of him in my magazine alongside Keith Richards, the new movie is due to be released 25th May. Captain Jack certainly didnt get his looks from his dad thats for sure! :lol:

Maybe I was seeing things but I could have swore I saw a hidden Mickey when they sliced her hand to put the blood on that medallion, it was when they dropped in with all the other coins when it lands it looks like one on each side on the top sorta bounces up making it look like a Mickey head.:shrug:

They showed POC on the big screen on the deck of the Magic the night before we sailed into Castaway Cay and the first sight we saw was the Pirate Ship - it gave us all goosebumps!

I watched POTC Dead Man's Chest for the first time tonight . I watched the first POTC just to refresh my memory . Arghhhhhhhh, I hate cliffhangers . I thought the first POTC was better, IMHO , But that's not to say once I see the 3rd one that view may change . I agree with you all , never thought much of JD until he became Capt' Jack Sparrow :hearteyes he was picture made for the part . I was sad when they killed him off and I'm happy to read in SM's post, that he will return . I wonder if Will Turner's dad will be resurrected in the next one . The heart was never stabbed . :hyper:

The music in this one is amazing... I saw it 4 times in theatres and since 3 times at home. We're doing the music for our winterguard show right now and I get to play with sabres!
