Forgive me if someone already posted about this fabulous book, I have been away so long from the boards, and I searched a tad to see if it had been mentioned yet... I don't know if you all would have seen this book, I was so tickled when one of my students brought this book into me. It is a trivia book all about WDW. I wish there was some type of game show out there that asked these types of questions and the prizes would be vacations to the various Disney Parks all around- wouldn't that be great?

Title: The Walt Disney World Trivia Book, Vol. 2 (which means there must be a 1)
Author: Louis A. Mongello
ISBN-10:1-887140-63-8
Publishing company- The Intrepid Traveler

The entire book is written in trivia format with multiple choice questions. Here is a sample question (one I struggled with anyhow)...

The motto of Lake Buena Vista Fire Department is...
a- The Pixie Dust Brigade
b- Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust
c- Protecting the Magic
d- To Protect the Dreams

I'll have to check in later to see if some of you knew the answer. ;)

Minniefan,

I just wanted to say thank you for such kind words about my book! I really appreciate it!!

Glad to hear you're enjoying it! Now, as far as that game show is concerned...

Wow! Thank you. I hope you didn't mind my promoting it. I was so excited when I got it and I've barely put it down. I love it thanks so much for putting together so many fun questions in one place. You really have something here and I think you should try to sell the game show idea to someone... they could use your questions and make it a very special "One Vs. 100" all disney trivia! I'd watch and having gone through lots of your book I think I'd have a better shot then most- except for you maybe... ;)

You've done a great thing- perhaps there will be a volume 3? The other parks Disneyland?

Again thanks and I hope it wasn't wrong of me to post your name and ISBN number- as a teacher when we see a book we want we all have to demand the ISBN number so we can get to our local bookstore and order it.

Best wishes and you rock.

Oh of course I don't mind! In fact, I sincerely appreciate the help!

As for a Volume III... all I can say is.... I can't say. ;) BUT - I do have a few other projects in the works, which I hope to be able to formally announce soon. Plus, I hope to have the first of my MouseTour CDs ready soon!! You can come by my site for more info about that if you like.

Thanks again!!!! :)

By the way- if you were wondering- the answer is

c- Protecting the magic!

How cool to now be able to say I've met the author- and he belongs to the same disney board that I do! I'm as tickled as I can be. Once again impressed by just the "magic" that happens when I visit the boards here.

there's a really good Disneyland trivia book that came out last year. "Magic Quizdom" PA, it is SOOO good, and there were things that I, even with 2 bookshelves full of Disney books, have never heard of.

We have Walt Disney World Trivia book volume 1 and that is also great. Me and DH have competitions to see who gets most right, its great fun even though our teenagers think we are a little sad. We love it as we learn really interesting facts about Disney along the way, new things to look out for when we go etc. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys WDW.

LOL well doing most of my growing up there, yes. My kids (15 and 10) still walk by the Walt and Mickey statue and say "Hi Uncle Walt" makes people look at us funny....

Wow, I am glad I read this. I am going to have to invest in both of those WDW trivia books! I knew there must be something like that out there, but I had never actually looked. My husband and I are always quoting Disney trivia as a way to "plus it" while we're on a Disney vacation....not to mention impress our travel companions with our vast knowledge of all things Disney!
