You can now marry at several Disney theme park locations.
See here (http://www.disneyweddings.go.com/site/vow/cus/cer/location/index.jsp) for more info.

Hmm, don't know if I want to get married at 8am. I think my guests would think I was nuts!!
So, is this just for the dreams promomotion or are they keeping it?

Those locations have always been available for custom weddings, although AKL was only introduced last year, and Magic Kingdom wasn't available for a year or two, but is again now for a hefty fee.

Thats right, MK hasnt been available for a while and the cost has been reduced quite substantially. When we got married MK was not available and if it was there was a $50,000 minimum.
They just seem to be making more of it on the disney site now dont you think?
Maybe its just with the re-organisation of the site and the introduction of the couture weddings.
Just thought people may be interested.:)

That's what Mam said! I told her at least 5!

You're probably right there:lol:
I read somewhere you can only have the MK ceremony at 8am. Before park opening. They are not offering an evening one at present. I think an evening one would be magical though.:love2:
Do you know if thats right?I cant remember where I read it - I cant find it on the official site:unsure:

They want HOW MUCH??!!!!
DH and I are thinking about having a vow renewal for our 10 year anniversary (My goodness - that's only 3 years away!) then I looked at the prices :wow:
Never mind 'vow renewal' it's gonna be more like a 'mortgage renewal'!!!

Magic Kingdom page on official site says it's ceremony only starting at 8am. Doesn't give you much time
Last I'd heard (last year) they'd reintroduced MK ceremonies/receptions and the minimum was some ridiculous price (much higher than the previous $50,000), and could only start about 1hr after park closing. Maybe they stopped that because so many couldn't afford it, or because of the EMH and special events

Hi Joanne:
First time on here so we'll see how it goes. My son is planning a Disney wedding the first of April for approx.18- 20 people. To the best of your knowledge, is the three weddings listed the only way to go? It seems rather steep for what is offered. They do want to get married there for sure. Please reply to me at email address removed by moderator if poss.
Thanks for your help.

My sister is getting married at the Yacht Club this October. I don't think she even knew that Magic Kingdom was an option. Now that I have sent her the link plans may be changing though.
I was thinking about renewing our vows there, but looking at those prices, I would rather spend the money on more vacation club points. Then we could go even more often.

It might not be now. They seem to keep changing whether it's available or not. I've only known one person get married there in the last few years, and we're talking seriously big money

There are a number of places available for intimate/escape weddings. If you go to www.disneyweddings.com (http://www.disneyweddings.com) you'll see the up to date list.
