Hi,
We are going to stay at the new Beach Club DVC this
Setpember. I know it just opened but has anyone been there yet? If so, how did it compare to the others? Is there a special room or floor we should request. Would appreciate any information.

Madison,
Welcome to our forum, and Welcome Home to DVC. I'm glad you found us! My family just joined DVC, too. BCV is our home resort.
The grand opening for BCV is July 1st, so no one (as far as I know) has stayed over night at BCV, yet.
We visited WDW May31st-June3rd and stayed at the Beach Club--in a room that overlooked the courtyard that joins the Beach Club with the Beach Club Villas. It was still considered a "hard hat" area when we were there, so we were not allowed to walk around the villas.
The building from the outside looks great. I saw some model rooms over at the DVC headquarters and they looked really nice! I posted a couple of pictures of the outside of BCV on another thread: click here to view! (http://www.wdisneyw.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5400)
Of interest is this map (from Deb Will's web site). The new BCVs are in the shape of a Y.
link to map (http://wdwig.com/bcvmap.jpg) This gives you an idea as to how it is situated...
You are a lucky duck going in Sept, we don't get to try out our new home resort until the end of Dec!

Hi DC,
Thanks for the great photos. We can't wait to get into the new DVC at the Beach Club. We usually stay at OKW, which we do love but wanted to try BC. Will let you know.

I am ready to make the jump to the DVC!!! I have been torn between buying resale at OKW or BCV. I'm really leaning toward BCV however. When I arrive for our July 4th visit, I'll be taking a tour of the new BCV, I'm sure that'll confirm my decision! I'll take photos and share any information that I get.

Hi Pumba NY,
Thanks, we are planning to stay at the studio also. How did you like it? Was the balcony private? Sorry, I have another question we are staying for 10 nights, was there enough room for clothes in the drawers? We've seen some pictures and they looked kind of scarce.
Thanks again, do you have any more picutures of the studio?

I think the drawer space may be a little sparse for ten days worth of clothes. If you keep some in your luggage, you'll be ok.
There are laundry facilities for the studios, also.
Have a wonderful time!
By the way, great photos Pumba! :ears: :ears:

We just stayed there last week and loved it. The rooms are light and airy. Request a room closer to the elevator . Our biggest piece of advice is to ignore the hotel when they tell you to go through the main lobby to get to EPCOT. Instead, take the path to your left along the side of the main hotel. You will get to EPCOT much faster and with alot less walking.
