Hi
Thaks for your replies to previous queries i had , good stuff . One thing that keeps cropping up is peoples opinion that it is better to book an intimate wedding direct with Disney instead of through Virgin .
Im searching through the forums now to try and find why this is ? Reason is we would have thought booking all in one go would be easier , it would seem this not the case ?.
As this is without doubt the best forum for UK guys wanting to get married in Disney Florida , if there are any other opinions for and against booking Direct or Booking Virgin for an intimate wedding i would be interested to hear them .
Cheers guys

I can only speak from what I've read here and elsewhere, rather than from experience. But Virgin do seem to get a lot of bad reviews.
You get the same service going with Disney, and I wouldn't swear to it, but the way the exchange rate stands right now, I'd guess that it may work out cheaper too
If you introduce a middle man into the equation, it gets more complicated than dealing direct.
Just my opinion  :)

I agree, better to talk to Disney weddings direct.
Virgin, and others, know a selection of what's available at the time they did their training etc and obviously try to stay upto date. Disney are always changing things though and offering new things so it's usually better to talk direct.
I've known a fair few people who booked with virgin and have been unable to get this or that, as well as a few people who were promised dates by virgin which they then couldn't get.
I suppose you can only speak from experience - I had a good experience from booking our DFTW through Virgin.
I admit that this side - they knew very little as Keith said they only know what they are told at a particular time.
However, in resort the coordinator was VERY efficient - of course we didnt miss out on having a Disney coordinator - we had her too! Which worked out wonderfully - all aspects were covered.

I am in the process of booking my disney wedding with virgin at the moment. I can say that they have been very helpful so far. It is to early for me to book the date I want yet so I can't say how they are on that front. When I get my wedding date and time I'm then going to ask for a disney contact so that I can also talk to them direct.

We have booked our wedding directly with disney. I cannot fault them they have been excellent. My wedding was planned in 2 phone calls and several emails. Our wedding is only really small but they treat us like we are really important.
