Hi everyone
I was just wondering if anyone had the extra photo sessions with their wedding. At the Magic Kingdom in particular. The reason I am asking is that I don't really know how it works... Do you normally get your pictures taken before the wedding or after, I heard the session take place pretty early in the morning...and how did you get your hair done if its that early?
Info please!

I think most of us who were married at wdw ended up getting the extra photo session, it's very popular indeed!
You can have the photos before or after, it doesn't matter although I think most people try for after the wedding. I think we were picked up at 5am or something like that.... they seem to aim to take some shots in the dark and then it gets light whilst youre there so you have a mix of photos.
Hair was done by disney makeup although ours was four years ago now so that may have changed

We had the MK photo session.
We were picked up at just before 6am and driven straight into MK through the back entrance and onto Main Street :bounce:
Disney Cosmetology dept is no more :( But they do give you a list of hair and makeup people you can use, many who used to work for Disney Cosmetology. I had Lisa for wedding and MK session. She'll come to your room, I think it was 4am or 4:30am when she came to ours that morning
It's very popular, so book it as soon as you can, then you've a better chance of getting your required date. You can have it done whenever you like, before or after the wedding, or even on future visits (they say once a Disney Fairy Tale bride, always a Disney Fairy Tale bride!) But if you had it done beforehand, the bride and groom would see each other in all their finery, which kind of spoils things
We had ours done about a week after the wedding :)
At one point last year they had started doing 2 sessions each day, one at 5am and one at 6am, but not sure if they're still doing that now

Hey thanks for the information, I was curious as to how it would work. We haven't really been able to talk to anyone at disney yet because the date is a little far still so we're both in the dark!
