Morning Girls,

I have been looking on the Disney wedding website this weekend and have been playing with the wish book options. I am going to ring Disney tomorrow to talk about booking an escape wedding (I was going to do this through my tour operator but I am now starting to change my mind). I have noticed that with most of the options we want we we are nearing the $10,000 minimum spend mark for a wishes wedding and that without taking our guests for a meal.

My questions are, is there a minimum amount of people needed for a wishes wedding? We only have eight people going with us at the moment. This number may or may not increase. Also do you have to book one of the reception venues they have in the wish book or can you just book a table at one of the restaurants and not a large room.

Thanks again for all your help.

There is no guest minimum for a Wishes wedding, just a minimum spend.
For a Wishes wedding you can't just book a table at a restaurant, you would need to use one of the reception rooms, restaurant private rooms or do a restaurant 'buyout' (e.g. Citrico's).
You've also got the minimum food and beverage amounts for the venue you choose. These vary depending on the time of day your wedding starts (cheaper before 2pm) and the location, GF being the most expensive. So you'd be looking at a minimum of $75 per person excluding tax & gratuity.

HI
We have only 8 people in total going to our wedding next month. Our Disney wedding planner has been fantasic. She has talked through all our options and really helped with everything. We are having our reception at st James' hall and patio, which is a really nice room with an outside space. Although our wedding is small , they have treated us like our wedding is the most important thing on thier calander. So my advice is to ring and speak to them.

Thanks for your replies girls. I have been talking to Disney over the past few weeks and I am now booking a custom wedding. I can't believe the options they give you. We are looking at a dinner reception in the White Hall room and a desert party at Epcot.

I feel so much more in control now and am so excited about making our wedding more personal to us.

That's great! :bounce:

Any questions, just ask! We had our reception at the GF, and an IllumiNations dessert party at night :)
