The wand deconstruction around Spaceship earth is almost complete  Only a small section of the upright structure and several stars atop the sphere remain. Work should be completed by the end of the month.
Epcot has also introduced quite a nice selection of 'Retro' merchandise of late, likely in celebration of it's upcoming 25th annivessary. (theres a LE horizons pin I *must* have :D )
Palm trees are soon to replace the current oak trees in front of SE, similar to how it was in the early days.
Fountainview café, which is currently closed, is set to reopen in the not too distant future as an ice-cream parlor
Over at the Canadian Pavillion, a brand new circlevision movie will debut at the beginning of September (starring Martin Short)
Finally..Rumours are again circualating that the Imagination pavillion is set for yet another major rehab, one which would see the return of Dreamfinder :woohoo: Its reckoned this rehab will have us all talking, with a completely new ride technology a possibility. Other tidbits include the HISTA theatre being tied in or replaced for the new attraction, and that John Lasseter has been given the job of re-inventing the ride. An announcement surrounding this could be on the Oct 1st agenda, with rumoured opening dates of late 2008. :spy:

I really miss the old figment. I wish that they would have just redid the whole track system instead of just redoing the entire thing, because now it sucks. :( It was sad that the track system in the old ride dug itself into the ground. :(

Oooh I love Dreamfinder! Glad he's coming back.
As for the FountainView turning into an ice cream parlor, I'm a bit upset about that. This place had awesome pastries for that "I'm hungry for a snack" in the mornings at Epcot and to just sit and watch the fountain do it's thing while snarfing on pastries and latte's. :sigh:

The Dreamfinder is a legend. Bring him back. Bring back captain EO too. Let's go all 80's again.
Ghetto blasters at the ready.

New Muppet Lab? Does this mean that they have updated the pre-show again? I hope so as I love the pre-show - even to the point of not going straight into the 4D show once on a slow day as I didn't want to miss out:thumbs:

No, Muppet lab is the brand new asnimatronic that is roaming around Epcot. It is Prof. Buncen and Beaker in a rocket type vehicle. They travel around the Future world section of the park and interact with guest. It looks fantastic. It was recently unveiled at the last press conference and has now finally arrived in the park. There is some video footage around if you have a search for it. Look for the Inside the Magic Podcast on iTunes and it is on the lateste video podcast.

Adam,
Thanks for the heads up on this. Found details on Muppet Central about the Muppet Lab and can't wait to see it live.

ME TOO! That was always our first stop in the park! Nothing like getting a nice danish and latte and wandering over to the railing by the fountain and taking in the taste and spectacle of th fountains.:)
