From Screamscape:
Ratatouille Coaster - Rumor - (8/22/07) Screamscape sources have informed us that Walt Disney World management has just approved the budget to fast-track construction of a new indoor spinning roller coaster based on the film Ratatouille. As rumored for the past few weeks, the ride system will be based on the coaster design used for Crush’s Coaster that just opened earlier this summer at Walt Disney Studios Paris. This is a customized varient of the Maurer-Sohne SC-2000 layout. The new coaster is expected to be placed in the Soundstage One area right next to Toy Story Mania and construction could start within the next six months.
Interesting....

a ride, named after a rat, I know he is "cousin" to a mouse. But-- it could have been a snake, oh well.

OK so my age is showing here. Another Roller Coaster at Disney, how many do they have now? Space Mountain in the dark that one I dig, different but still fast and fun. You can keep Rockin, music too loud, I told you my age was showing.

coasters .... :afraid: .... they scare me! The toon town coaster was even too much for me!! How about a nice new ride along the lines of IASW now wouldn't that be much more lovely :D they could have all those rats from the movie dressed up as rats from other countries just like the dolls ... how does that sound :hehe:

Space Mountain
Goofy's Barnstormer
Big Thunder Mountain RailRoad
Expedition Everest
Rockin Roller Coaster
These are the only ones that I know of and I don't really consider any of them to be REAL Roller Coasters.

your missing one, usc how about the coaster in Dinoland that spins ? Can't think of the name of it since I don't ride it . It's the spinning effect that gets me, otherwise I would . Expedition Everest is the only one that comes close to being a true rollar coaster .

I think it is called Tricerotops Spin.

Crush's coaster is a similar concept to Primeval Whirl, but the turns aren't so sharp. It does spin. I hope they put a fast pass on it at WDW, because they didn't in Paris and the queues were 2 hours, just 20 minutes after park opening. The loading area wasn't designed to take 2 queues was the excuse given for not having FP. The ride capacity was also an issue. It can take 800 people an hour if every seat is filled. The FP system issues approx. 300-350 tickets for each hour. They felt if they allocated so many to FP, the regular queue would be even longer.

Personally I think that just sounds like and excuse Paula. Besides, surely they can set the FP system to handle however many tickets per hour they need to set it for.

I have indeed ridden the Crush Coaster at DLP. Loved it! A bit brief I must admit but really enjoyable. It starts as a dark ride and you go through a few of the scenes from the film. The track then changes and you go up a liftr hill designed to look like the layer for Bruce and his gang. The ride then chages into a spinning coaster that travels through the current dragging you (sitting in a crush shaped car) through it. Big drop at the beginning. Don't eat luch just before riding!

I love that movie... it's a fun cartoon with lots of humor. I like it more than Ice age and Toy Story..

I'm sure it will be great, but wouldn't it make more sense to have a roller coaster themed to Monsters Inc. and the door scenes towards the end?
I'm sure that crossed everybody's minds when you all saw that scene in the theater the first time... right?
Although, there is already themed to Monsters Inc. at MK-Tomorrowland... Hmmm, anyway, I think it would be fun

Yeah, I've ridden Crush's Coaster. Starts as a dark ride and you travel through scenes from the film including the field of Jelly fish. You then start to ascend the lift and it is themed like the run down boat that Bruce and the others live in. You see Bruce and hear many bangs and crashes as if being chased. Finally, after reaching the top, the ride turns to a coaster and you hurtle up and down and spin at the same time around a coaster that is supposed to represent the journey through the current with crush. Imagine waltzers that move but the spin isn't so violent. A couple of big drops and that's about it. I really enjoyed it but don't ride if u have just had lunch!!!

They can't build too many Disney roller coasters, in my opinion. I can't get enough.
