View Full Version : Pop Century to Contemporary Resort

We have 8:15 am reservations for breakfast at Chef Mickey's and plan on heading to MGM after breakfast. We are staying at Pop Century. What bus do we get on to get to Contemporary Resort? I am aware that there is a bus from the resort to MGM so that shouldnt be a problem.

You can take the bus to MK and then it's a short walk over to the CR :thumbs:

Or TTC. You can go anywhere from TTC, it's the hub of Disney transport.

But MK is the better bet.

If you take a bus from a resort it's going to let you off right by the MK - it's a short walk as Alec said! You could also walk to the monorail station and take the resort line - the Contemporary is the first stop

If you go to the TTC, you have to take the monorail and that will take you far longer

TTC really isn't a hub anymore. Which is kind of disappointing. :(

TTC really isn't a hub anymore. Which is kind of disappointing. :(Why do you say that? TTC most certainly is still a hub. You can get transport from there to anywhere on Disney property.

If you take a bus and the monorail, like JM suggested, then I doubt there will be much people heading that way in the morning - you might be able to bag the front of the monorail :)

A taxi from PI, DTD (which I think is pretty close to POP) cost us $20 with tip in August... we were sooooo late for Chef Mickey and no bus in sight!

because it seems like only a few select buses go to different hotels from there. (mostly just parks) it's not like it was back when there were flags assigned to buses. not to mention most resorts now have transportation directly to a park, when we stayed at the CG we'd always have to go to TTC, now we almost never do. Now, it's still the monorail's center. :D

Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to go from resort to resort. Best bet is to take the bus to MK then walk to Contemporary (or take the monorail). Expect to try and catch the bus around 7:00 - 7:15 or so.
