We fly out on the 15th of December and our Wedding is on the 19th so we need to get the license pretty quick. We wont be hiring a car so can anyone give me any advice on other options for getting to the courthouse.
Also has anyone any experience of `marrige license by mail` there are phone numbers in the Disney wedding pack.
Thanks x

I don't believe it can be done via mail.

We couldn't do ours by mail 2 years ago. What type of wedding are you having Princess Erin? If it is a WDW one then I think they can provide a car service for you to do this. Check with you wedding specialist. Otherwise you would have to get a car service to pick you up. It really only takes about an hour (depending on how many people at the court house) and the court house is very nice and easy to get to. I was very worried about this part as we only had 1 day (a Friday) to get ours before our wedding on Sat.
Congrats and good luck!

Its an `intimate` wedding just us and our 3 kids. I dont think I would trust `license by mail` anyway. I will check out the car with the weddings people at Disney. Thanks for the help x

You can use your 4 hour limo thats inlcuded in your package to go get your license if you are using alternative transport for your wedding.
If not, your wedding coordinator will be able to get you a towncar or something.
Congratulations on your wedding and good luck!xx

You can do it by mail but I think you need a good few weeks in advance so you'll be better off with the courthouse- both Disney and the vicar we're using recommended getting it by mail if possible- apparently you needto send a copy of your passport or something!
Anyone who has done this I'd be very interested to hear...

It does get quite busy as passport applications are done in the same place. Once you get your place in line though its not too bad. We're here to help hun, ask away.

Our co-ordinator booked a taxi for us, it took us straight after we had sorted out the final arrangements!
Congratulations on your wedding - not long now! :excited:
