Need some opinions here - should we use a Taxi or use the Magical Express - we are staying at Pop Century. We are leaving on October 17th which is a Wednesday and will be there before Lunch, and leaving on October 23rd and our flight does not leave until 7:30 PM that is a Tuesday. I am not very patient and was wondering how long the Magical Express takes, does it wait on alot of people before it leaves the Airport, etc ... Thanks all

Hey, Theres pros and cons for both,
DME can take just over an hour depending on how many stops they need to make and which number on that list your are. Its also the same on the way back. With DME you don't have the hassle of finding your hotel! and you also dont have to worry about your luggage and you its free!!
With a taxi I guess you need to weigh up length of the journey versus how much it'll cost you (that I dont know but im sure someone will).
Personally I'd go with DME. Its the perfect way to start your Disney holiday! And it takes the stress out of getting to your hotel and lets you relax!

I'd have pros and cons too. For cost and ease of getting to your resort and getting your luggage there I'd say go for it. I decided not to but that's b/c we also wanted a car with us for our stay. If it was between a taxi and ME I'd choose ME. It does get you all excited when the passengers start clapping and cheering as you reach your hotels! (although DH is motified by this!)

The cost of a taxi from MCO to BC is round about $100 return, this does not include the tip for the driver so there is quite a saving there. Now if you don't mind the wait for your luggage (I think it can be up to about 2 hours) then that may be the best way to go. Your bags are delivered to your room whether you're there or not (which also saves a few $'s) Do I sound like a cheapskate? I don't mean to but there seems to be so much tipping, firstly the taxi driver, then the bellhop who takes your luggage from the car to check in, then the bellhop who takes it up to your room, it just makes it so much easier to let DME do it all for you :D

No one takes your stuff to your room at the values unless you're with DME

I am a little confused with this Magical Express thing. My husband called up to arrange for them to take our luggage from the airport to the resort. He was under the impression that they were sending us special luggage tags for this service. Well, here we are two days before we leave and no luggage tags have arrived! Do we need these special luggage tags for the Magical Express? I am wondering if we should just hold onto our bags? Are we allowed to bring the bags on the bus to the resort? Thanks for any info!

No, you don't need the tags for DME service, however if you have checked bags you will have to pick them up yourself on arrival as they won't be delivered to your room without the tags.

So, let me clarify for myself......You mean that I will need to pick them up at the resort check in or I need to pick them up at the airport? Sorry! I am so new to all of this. :)

They did for us  They took our cases off us and when we came back from MK later on, they were in our room...
or maybe it was because we arrived in a limo and they thought they'd get a fat tip

ive recieved an email from my magic for less co-ordinator and she told me the luggage tags would not be with us before we go, but that it would be no problem as DME are aware of us and our reservation number is in their system, so all we need to do is take our baggage tickets to the DME desk and they'll do the rest, does anyone have any experience of this?

I've never done that before, but wouldn't your luggages be showing up at the carousel already while you are at the DME desk?
