I need a good hotel at Heathrow Airport. I've had a look on the website and there's quite a few that all seem pretty much the same. Our flight arrives from Manchester at 9.00pm so all we'll want to do is eat and sleep as we'll have travelled straight from work/school.

Our flight to Miami is at 10.30am so I don't want a hotel that's on the outskirts. Has anyone used the hotels and can recommend somewhere decent?

We stayed at the Park Inn in West Drayton last year before flying out to Boston. It wasn't particularly outstanding, but neither was there anything wrong with it. Room was fine as I recall; and we got room plus 15 days parking for about £90.

The biggest issue for us was that by the time the holiday arrived at the end of January, the winter had been so long and cold that we were wishing that we were staying near Gatwick and flying out to Florida instead (which we did later that year as a direct result)!

I stayed at the Premier travel inn (Bath Road) this trip just gone. It was a typical travel inn -clean but minimal. However, the all you can eat breakfast was just what we needed at 6am before our 8.55am flight to New York! I would recommend booking it on the British Airways website (or perhaps baholidays website cant remember which lets you book just hotels). It was £80 for the night including breakfast (which should be £7.99 each). On all the other travel websites the hotel was a few pounds more expensive and did not include breakfast so i def recommend booking through BA!

We headed to the airport (having checked in online) at 7am and the taxi was £13 (which is not much when you realise the hotel shuttle bus which goes to every hotel is £4 each one way.

If you are staying on a weekend then i think the hilton which is actually on terminal 4 (and the one we would have loved to have stayed at!!!) should be a reasonable price but when we wanted to stay in was £275!!

Thanks, I've just had a look at the Hilton but it's not available when we want to book. I've ended up booking the Heathrow Marriot which seems to get good reviews so hopefully it'll be ok.
