Hi all. We are going to stay in the wd resort next Feb and will be buying a 14 day park ticket. Can you tell me what the best way is to get from wdw to busch gardens and sea world please, if we want to see them separately? Not sure if we will be hiring a car yet. Many thanks

The best way to get to Busch Gardens is actually by car. It is in Tampa, over on the Gulf Coast and you can just jump on the I-4 to get there. Failing having a car you can catch a bus from Seaworld but I understand they leave Busch rather early.

Thanks John - do yu know if you can hire a car for just a couple of days, actually collecting it from the disney area? If so, do you know of a good car hire company to use? Thanks

I think it's Alamo that has a deal with Disney - They have rental places at Swan/Dolphin and at the Car Care Center.

hey, if you buy the Orlando Flex ticket that includes SeaWorld, (Aquatica after Spring) Busch Gardens, US, IofA and Wet'n'Wild I believe theres a Mears shuttle to Busch Gardens included in the price of your ticket. You'd have to double check tho

We bought a Seaworld/Busch Gardens ticket with free transport we caught the bus from Seaworld at 9.00am (we pre-booked it) it left Busch Gardens at 6pm. We went the end of August and found we had plenty of time to do everything. We even had a disney film on the way back.

Thanks Gilly - trouble is we would have to get to Sea world first and i don't think we will use most of the other venues on the ticket (not enough time!)

If you don't want to hire a car buy a flex ticket to go to Busch Gardens on the bus. Ive done both and unless you are going to detour along the way to see something else I would say catch the bus. Take dry clothes because if you get soaked on the rides you will freeze on the air-conditioned bus.

Hi atc, we always hire a car for the convenience and the independence. I like to be able to change the holiday plan around personal preference and the weather. We like to hit the parks and the malls hard but if somebody is tired it's best to take a break and if necessary stop for the day.

Bungie - how easy is it to hire a car once you get to WDW? Is insurance ery expensive? (we are from UK)

Hi atc, I'm from UK as well. Put Yescar into a search engine and follow the instructions for a quote. You can try lots of options as long as you don't put your card details in. I'm not saying that they are the best but it will give you a guide line to compare other companies with. The insurance is not cheap. We have been going for over 20 years and never had a problem but I wouldn't cut a corner on the insurance. There is a world of misery waiting for those who are caught out. You can always book a car through the internet after you arrive if you want. Some hotels have a car hire representative working in liaison with them but they will be from a specific company and not necessarily competative. You need to spend some time surfing for information.

If you want to pick up from on Property, you need to look at Alamo and National only

With the Busch Gardens Shuttle - this does not pick up from WDW.

The closest places to Disney it will pick up are Premium Outlets and SeaWorld, so you'd need to think about getting there first before catching the coach. I think they leave around 9ish, give or take half an hour.

We just got a taxi to seaworld, and hopped on the coach. A taxi was $30 each way - if you wanted a car for more than a day, you'd be much better off hiring a car for the length of your stay. I'm pretty sure if you're staying on property you can park for free at the theme parks too.

Yep, that's right. They give you a pass for your car, and you can park at any WDW theme park for free.
