hi all
i'm off to disney for the first time on sunday,i've got a car booked with dollar car hire and someone has put a slight doubt in my mind about the driving licence requirements.
i've got a pink paper style driving licence which as far as i'm concerned is a full uk licence that i've had since 1986.
now someone has told me i need the card type with my photo on it,i'm 95% sure i don't but can anyone confirm it for me.
cheers

I'm not sure about the driver's license usage here in the US but I believe it will be OK as long as you also have a PHOTO ID to accompany it.

Hi doughie, don't worry, you don't need the photocard licence. I have the old paper one and that gets accepted every year and I've never been asked for photo ID, but if your are, then you'll have your passport with you anyway.

Have fun and don't worry about it :D

I just knew one of our UK people had been through this. Thanks Wendy. :)

We picked up a car from Dollar in Las Vegas in September and my friend's paper licence was accepted.
