Perhaps one of our American Cousins can help me.
Searching around for a suitable car for our holiday next August. We have a PT Cruiser at home, and want to compare the space in a Chevy Equinox, which has a good hire rate (much cheaper than a Cruiser).
Now I am convined that Alamo are understating the luggage capacity of the Equinox, so can someone compare it to a Cruiser for me? I know I will just squeeze our two large cases, one medium and one small suitcase, a few bags (in seat wells), two kids and my essential full set of golf clubs into my Crusier! (with the 40% seat removed).
But the Equinox seems to be quoted by Alamo as having LESS space than a cruiser.... yet Edmunds.com says the Equinox has 69 litres in family seating configuration (i.e. no seats down unlike me having to take out the small rear seat).... go figure!
Thanks in advance. Like I said its a cracking rate, but Alamos luggage description of 2 medium, 2 small cases doesn't add up. (unless you can stow a person in a large suitcase!)
