Something that WDW do not advertise is that if you need to check-in online for your return flight, you can do this at the business centres. We didn't want to check in at DTD as we needed to keep our car seats with us before returning home. However, because of a problem I had to sort out with Alamo (which they were brilliant with but that's another story) I wanted to check in online for our VA flight home in case time was tight at MCO on the way back.

I asked the concierge at POFQ if they could help and they said no but they sent me down to the Coronado Springs Business Centre where I was able to check-in online for my flight for free. Other internet access is chargeable (and expensive!) but they allow airline check-in free. I guess it's primarily meant for their convention visitors but worth mentioning for people here who could use the service.

That's a great tip Jarrett!

We were going to check in at DtD after the cruise, but hadn't considered the car seat :slapme:
Is online check-in bag drop off at MCO easy to do/not busy like at Manchester or Gatwick?
I guess we could check in on the ship instead of DtD check in

We don't use bag drop at MCO, we prefer DTD but the peeps over at v-flyer usually report MCO bag drop as being quite quiet.

Checking in on the ship would work OK Jo, they have printers available in the internet cafe so you'll be OK getting boarding cards

Thanks Al! I wonder if we'd still be able to use DtD check-in, but hold onto the car seat until MCO and drop it in at bag drop there

Can't see why not, they usually just scan one of your boarding cards and print an extra luggage barcode. :)

The bag drop at MCO had nobody in the queue. When we came back it shared the same desks as the Premium Economy line so they served PE people when there was nobody in the bag drop line. I had a similar experience a couple of years ago when using online check in.

For some reason I couldn't get to the option for printing boarding cards for the return flight but it wasn't a problem.
