FH and I are planning a Dinseymoon and wanted to get the wedding mouse ears to wear. Someone I work with is going down next week and offered to get them for me but neither of us know where they are sold. Does anyone know? If she isn't able to get them for me then I'm going to hunt them down when I go in February.

They are sold all over WDW. You can get them at the World of Disney in DTD or in most of the parks. At MK, right across the street from the Emporium is a hat store that sells ears and they have them, both bride and groom. When we bought them for our DD and DSIL we bought them from a cart at EPCOT.

We bought ours back in 1997, so I don't think the price we paid would help you much! LOL And I haven't checked them out lately.

There are a couple of different styles now for the Bride. There is the traditional "Mickey Ears" hat with veil, and now there is a headband with sequined ears and veil.
Not positive about the cost, but I think they run about $17 or so each.

My wife and I went to Disney on our honeymoon in Nov '06. We read that if you purchase the ears that there would be special surprises available for you around the park. I think that we missed the prizes unless it was everybody telling us congrats. My advice is to buy the ears and have them as a keep sake before you leave to go back home, because they really get in the way and eventually they get left in the room. There are places that have buttons that say just married on them, that you can pin to your shirt that the cast responds to just as well as the ears.

You may get some special treats (IE cupcake at a TS dinner) but nothing huge. Lots of congrats, you will get!
I wouldn't order them online, you'd be better off waiting til you get there if your friend can't get them. Most online stores grossly overcharge

I completely agree! The hats are available all over the place.

Ears are about $7, same for an autograph book. Coin books are about $6 and Epcot Passport is $10?

Although not hitched yet, I wonder if we'd cause all sorts of outrage if my bf and I both had male wedding ears.... :P

I wouldn't have thought so and certainly would hope that there would be absolutely no problem at all!

There won't be a bit of a problem. Lots of folks where the same gendered wedding hats. And some same gendered couples where the mixed gendered hats!
What with Disney becoming more accepting and allowing same gendered couples to have committment ceremonies and other vow sharing ceremonies, you see it quite often.
Don't think a thing of it. Be yourselves and have a wonderful time!

It's a lot of fun to get the ears. My wife and I got the veil and top hat ones when we were at Disneyland back in July 2005. We weren't married yet (Sept. 24, 2005!), but thought they'd make fantastic souveniors. Don't let anything prevent you from having the most fun you possibly can on this trip.

We got some in advance off ebay (!!!) which were actually very reasonable- but mainly becasue we needed them here in the UK before we went out to Florida!

Rather than buying the ears we decided to make our own T-shirts explaining that we were on Honeymoon. The front had a picture of Mickey for me and Minnie for my DW. We also had the word "Just" on my DW back and "Married" on mine in Disney font. The only mistake I made was to put the date on the UK way. I had written it as 12.03.05. We were married in March but people asked how we could be married if our wedding wasn't until December!!!!!
We got a lot of attention from wearing the T-shirts including being chosen as Grand Marshals for the Magic Kingdom parade and also one of the extras for the Indy Stunt show.

DH bought me the bride head band with veil in February . We were celebrating 20 years . He wore his pin . The headband was much easier to pack and didn't get in the way. When I went on one of the thrill rides, it was much easier to store on the ride, too :D
they sell the bride & groom hats at almost anywhere . I have seen them at the GF gift shop, also . They also carry other wedding mementos . :D

That's is where I ended up getting mine as well. I cannot wait to wear mine although Chuck is not as crazy about his top hat. :)

LOL Well like I said Chuck isn't thrilled but I'm hoping once we wear them and get congrats from some people that he'll be better about it. We are getting the buttons too so if we don't wear the ears all the time we will atleast have the buttons.
