It's just been reported on the evening news that a Disney CM has been gravely injured as a result of being hit by the "coaster" of Primeval Whirl and falling and hitting her head. Originally, she was coherent and talking, but has now been determined to be in grave condition.

The ride was shut down, inspected and has reopened. Federal investigators are on the scene attempting to determine how she got in harm's way.

Oh my goodness, I hope she recovers. It sounds like an accident.

I heard that the CM has passed away from her injuries. :rose:

Not according to the report I just heard. She must be quite injured though, to be listed as grave. :(

The reporter also said a Homicide Team was investigating. I'm sure that's routine, but it still sounds ominous.

I see the story I read earlier was retracted by OHSA - I read it here (http://www.cfnews13.com/)

OSHA says it may have given News 13 incorrect information, saying it now cannot confirm that an Animal Kingdom worker who was injured on the job, has died.

The news report didn't say much more than she fell, was struck by the coaster, and then hit her head in a fall? Kind of confusing. Makes it sound like she fell twice? :unsure:

I sure hope she's ok. Apparently, it happened Saturday.

Well, OSHA ended up being right after all. :( There was a brief report a few minutes ago. The CM died today.

According to the Orlando Sentinel she was 63 years old and was working on the Primeval Whirl. She apparently stepped on to a portion of the track that was prohibited, was hit by a car and fell, hitting her head.
