Found this scary article on FoxNews (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,316267,00.html).

Sheesh, be careful out there. You just never know.

That's very worrying that someone can not only carry a weapon regularly, but then to forget they're carrying it :afraid: :nono:

Good they found it at the entrance security though as I always wonder how successful that search is as the guards barely seem to look in our bags - proves they know what they are looking for I suppose

I heard this on the news last night. Not too sure why anyone needs to carry a loaded handgun on their person! Just be happy she had it in her bag, and not in her pocket. Disney doesn't check pockets. :worried:

I was wondering if this news would made it on the boards here. The Grandma in question was our next door neighbor when I grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania. I have no idea what she was thinking..or wasn't thinking, but I will attest that she had NO thought of shooting up the place. This woman has been widow for many years, and has moved a few miles from my old neighborhood. She lives out in a rural area. I guess she had the gun for her protection..I don't know. I am sure that there was no sisnister plan. I last saw her when she came to my Dad's viewing last March. She was a very good neighbor over the years and I feel it is a shame that this has happened. I read that after being released, she was calling her daughter trying to get back home. I know she is mortified for herself and her family. I pray she can put this behind her soon enough.

My in-law's were in the line at Disney when this woman was escorted away. They said that the Disney team handled it very professionaly.
