I am due to get married in florida in feb 09
We have been talking about it for years and always thought that our budget would only stretch to somewhere like cyprus grove (which loooks really nice) but when coming to it now we have decided that we would love to get maried onsite!
We saw the wedding pavillion form the monorail last time we were there and I have seen many pictures of it and I thought it looked like the perfect place (we only have 12 guests coming with us) but I have been looking on several websites and I have never seen any rave revues about it. I want my fairy tale wedding which is why we decided on disney and in paticular the wedding pavilion.
I am trying to get over within the next year (depends on work bonus lol) but if I cant then I am getting nervous I dont want to get there and be dissapointed with my decision. I have been waiting for this for 9 years and I want it to be perfect.
Please if anyone has been married here and can gibe me their HONEST opinion and the pavillion or any other wedding site I would really apreciate it
Thank you

We were married there and have attended several other weddings there and it's fantastic. It's the ideal location, specially made to be so! I mean, as you say "I do" you can look through the window and see the magic kingdom castle and it'll be in your photos etc.

Having said that, I've seen some great outside weddings at the resorts. We tried for the polynesian at one point and though it was fine, we were told if the weather was poor it would be held inside in a very normal, boring and quite ugly looking room :/ so we didn't want to take the chance.

It's perfect as far as I'm concerned, I don't know of any downside to it (and me being me, I'd freely tell you if I'd found any ;-)

I've attended a wedding there (Joanne and Jonathan on the board) and it was beyond beautiful.

Yes, the wedding pavilion is absolutely beautiful for a ceremony. The interior is mostly white, and as Keith has said, the view is incredible.

There are some lovely outdoor venues too. You'd have to be pretty careful which month you chose for an outdoor wedding in Florida. You could end up like one poor bride who was covered in love bugs. :(

If you go to the photo gallery here, you can see the wedding of Joanne and Jonathan. It will give you a good idea of how beautiful the pavilion can be.

Our photos are here (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showgallery.php?cat=767):)

Like the others said the WP is totally amazing. I wouldn't have changed the location of our wedding for anything, it was perfect. I'll never forget the look on our guests faces when they first walked into the Pavilion, they were just stunned at how beautiful it was.

We have not gotten married there, but I have seen photos and on our August visit we went for a walk and were lucky enough to be let inside the wedding pavillion for a look and it was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL :D You will not be disappointed!

We are planning on getting married there in 2011 or 2012 :D

We were gonig to get married in the Wedding pavilion but decided not to, because 1) For an intimate wedding you vould only book it 8 months in advance and we wanted to book earlier than that and 2) If you're a very small party (we are, only 5 guests!) they may move you outside into the garden, which was fine but the main reason my fiance wanted to go there was for the air conditioning!
Having said that, it does look absolutely gorgeous inside (and outside) and 'm sure it'll be fabulous! We opted in the end for the Yacht club rose garden- as it was the onlyother place we could have Cinderellas coach! :)

Well it may have changed but when we were planning, the opposite was true! Paying for the wedding pavilion was the way of guaranteeing where we'd be whereas if we chose say outside at the polynesian, they could have moved us inside in case of bad weather etc.

So certainly when we were doing it, yes, you could guarantee the wedding pavilion for an intimate wedding

2002. It's one of those things, you have to specify exactly what you want to the events group and specify you want it in the contract. If you pay extra for the pavilion, I really can't see them saying the day before, nah sorry a bigger wedding has come along so we're having yours in the basement <G>
