Does anyone know which car rental company is located by MK and the race track? We are staying fo 2 weeks and want to go to the store and buy some water, snacks, and beer. Or do have a better suggestion to get to a store?

Not sure but I think it's Alamo or Enterprise? I don't often rent cars, so I can never remember who has the current Disney contract.
There is an alternative. You can take your resort bus to DTD and then walk to Crossroads Plaza and the shop there (Goodings). It's wicked expensive though, and you may end up better off by taking a taxi to the nearest Publix and getting what you need.
The nearest Publix to DTD is the one over by Premium Outlets/Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine.

It is indeed Alamo/National.

Alamo/National also rent cars from the Swan/Dolphin (can't remember which) if needed. If this is your only reason for getting a car then I would get the bus to DTD and then get a taxi to Publix.
If you are flying in, how are you transferring from the airport? If you are getting a taxi from the airport you could get it to stop on the way.

Thank you for your responses.
We are taking the magical express from the airport to Disney. I can get a rental car for about $25.00 per day through Thrifty car rental which has an office by DTD at one of the hotels. Would it be cheeper to take a taxi? How far is it to Publix and do you have directions.

I don't know if it would be cheaper to take a taxi, but if you were going to rent a car just to go to the grocery store, I think it would work out for the best to take the taxi. The convenience of it alone would be worth it.
To get to the nearest Publix, from DTD take Hotel Plaza Blvd, to the intersection of SR535 (Crossroad's Plaza) where you will take a RIGHT on to 535. You will see the I-4 overpass before you. Go under it and prepare to take a LEFT on Vine (Near Bahama Breeze and Golden Corral). Follow the road past the Shrine and Premium Outlets taking a LEFT after just passing the outlets. Publix will be just along the road on the RIGHT.
Distance? (I'm a LOUSY guesser) Maybe three miles?
