Hi. I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction?

I am currently planning a trip for July (hot, crowded I know:oops:, but we are restricted due to schools etc). My parents are coming with us but as both they and us aren't sure we can stand each other for three whole weeks, they are planning to travel to the coast for a week and a bit in the middle.

At the moment they are looking at St Pete's/Clearwater but we are open to suggestions....

Can anyone point me in the direction of links to public transport between Orlando and there (or other coastal area if you want to recommend one)? They are not big drivers and the rest of the time my DH will be doing the driving so although he has said he will drive them over and back again, I do feel a bit mean letting him take that on.

Thank you for your help.

There are a couple of Amtrak trains that run from Orlando to Tampa daily and about 5 or 6 Greyhound Buses. Those would be the cheapest.

Thanks. I have finally found the sites for those after having a bit of a mental block. Would you advise anywhere else than Clearwater/St Petes for a week away? and are those places compact enough for a visit without car?

My parents are used to public transport abroad and back-packing type holidays.
