We didn't go to the Boardwalk last time we were in Florida and have decided to have a look around this time. We thought we would start with an early meal (say around 5:30) then come out and watch the entertainers etc. Anyway I've had a look at the menus for the Boardwalk restaurants and they all look good so I'm just looking for some hints as to which is the better dining experience especially with a 5 year old. At the minute I'm being pulled towards Flying Fish Cafe.

Thanks

Vicky

Had a couple of great meals at Flying Fish Cafe in '07 - try the signature Potato wrapped red snapper it's fantastic :eat:

What does the five year old enjoy? Remember, you can dine at the restaurants of the other resorts that are in the "circle" of which the boardwalk is a part. There are many places within the Swan and Dolphin alone.

I'm not a huge fan of Flying Fish, but many folks like it.

You will have a fun time on the boardwalk itself, watching the acts and strolling along. If you time it to be there at 9 PM you will be able to see the high fireworks of Illuminations.

You can also rent one of those surrey bikes too. Good way to work off your dinner!

We really enjoy Spoodles, but they have changed their menu recently. Next time we are thinking of giving Flying Fish a go.

Beaches and Cream is a fun place and it is within walking distance of the Boardwalk. If you want something nicer maybe The Yachtsman Steakhouse would do.

Thanks for the info guys. Will have a look at the resort menus as suggested. We still have a little while before we make ADRs.
