Disney to use Nintendo DS as tour guide

Disney is testing out the Nintendo DS as a tour guide for their holiday resorts.
Disney has just started testing the idea of using the Nintendo DS as an interactive tour guide system for Walt Disney resorts.
The program has been named Disney Magic Connection and lets users carry maps of the resort wherever they go.
The system also brings a whole load of useful applications to tourists though, including up-to-date information on queue lengths, automatic directions to the nearest facilities, restaurants and cash machines and, naturally, occasional mini-games.
The bad news is that, for the moment, the Disney Magic Connection is only available on pre-configured DS hardware supplied by Disney - though that will most likely change as the program comes out of the testing phase.
The Nintendo DS is rapidly proving itself to be an immensely useful piece of kit, with a vast certified game library, a very active homebrew scene which adds new applications and games to the system and a growing number of companies taking advantage of the handhelds popularity.
