Can I get around renting a car?

We are staying at Disney, but also want to check out Busch Gardens. Is there any way to get there other than having to rent a car???

I think there is a bus that leaves for BG from Seaworld? :unsure: You'd have to take a cab to Seaworld, but that shouldn't be too bad (especially if you took it from DTD).

Hmm..how come you can take a cab to SeaWorld but not Busch Gardens? Maybe cause its so far away? How for is SeaWorld from DW?

What is DTD? I'm dumb when it comes to all these abbreviations! ;)

You can take a cab to BG, but it's in Tampa. That is about an hour and a half (depending on traffic) west of Orlando.

Sea World is about ten minutes from WDW.

DTD is downtown Disney. There is a link at the top of the page that will take you to a list of the abbreviations used here. :yes:

Both Sea World and Busch Gardens are owned by Anhauser-Busch, to make it a bit more convinient for people who come to Central Florida mainly to visit Disney, they provide transportation between their two parks, you can also get a multi-park ticket that includes SW and BG at a reduced price.

As 'Tink said, BG is located in Tampa, 1-1/2 hours away, a taxi would cost you an arm and a leg, and a bit more.

Hey if you buy the Orlando Flex ticket you get free Mears shuttle return tickets to Busch Gardens and also includes SeaWorld, Aquatica, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Wet'n'Wild.

We did this last year!

As everyone says, very expensive to get a taxi there, but the busses are air conditioned and nice :)

We got a taxi to premium outlets, not far at all from downtown disney and met the bus there! The taxi cost us maybe $15 each way.

Although BG isn't my favourite park, it was definitely worth the effort (I felt)
