"Destino" - Disney / Dali film on DVD

Seemingly unlikely collaborators, the late filmmaker Walt Disney and surrealist Salvador Dali began a short animated film project in 1946 called “Desitno”, which was shelved after 15 seconds of footage was created.
Disney vice-chairman Roy Edward Disney was inspired to re-start production after producing “Fantasia” in 2000, because of a reference to “Destino” in the film.
Nominated in the best short animated film category of the Oscars in 2004, “Destino” will be released as part of a two-disc “Walt Disney Treasures” set in November this year. Included in the DVD will be a documentary on the Disney / Dali partnership.
