Pat & Kim have set a date August 30th of this year . The date they met, got engaged and now married 6 years later . Patrick paid a $500.00 deposit today on the reception . They are getting married outside at the gazebo , where his father worked, Flynn's On The Hill . The reception is in the ballroom afterwards . They are getting a discount on the reception .
They are going with a Cinderella Theme . A while back I bought them the Cinderella cake topper and I'm ordering the serving set from Mouse Surplus . We're trying to rent a white horse & carriage for Kim to arrive in and afterwards a short ride for them and the attendants ( maid of honour & best man ) . Depends on the cost . He bought their rings today . Kim's is a diamond wrap and Patrick picked out a gorgeous Celtic ring .There friend is a DJ and only charging them a small amount . And the pastor that married Jim and I , my mother and late fathers minister is marrying them . Kim and her girlfriend need to get their gowns, invitations are getting ordered tomorrow and they need to order the cake and fresh flowers for the vases for centerpieces with votive candles for the tables . Does anyone know where I can get the Disney confetti from castles or coaches and such ? Pat's Aunt is not only a teacher, but a great photographer . Her husband is going to be the videographer .
They are taking their honeymoon to where else but WDW . :D
By September, they will be in their own home . :hyper:
I'm very happy for them both and it has helped to take my mind off other troubles if even for a short time .

That will look beautiful!! I'm so excited to see how it all comes together.
I know it would be a lot of punching, but you can pick up a Disney castle hole punch on ebay for about $9.00. It would be a lot of work, but they could have confetti that would match and then you could use the punch for scrapbooking etc. Just a thought :)

Marie's granddaughters are going to make them for me . They have picked Mickey & Stitch pixiedust for Pat , and castles & coaches for Kim in silver & blue , Pat doesn't want a Cindi wedding and Kim said, its your wedding too . They are using their cake topper and I'm buying them this serving set . Here is the pic of their wedding topper :

You can get actual Disney princess confetti which is castles and crowns, of course it is all pink! And ebay is a great source for all sorts
We're having our civil in WDW but we're having a relgious ceremony in the UK first with a Disney themed reception- we've got tables themed after Disney films, and we're using Disney money boxes as table centres! For favours I've got Disney party bags (princess for girls and piarates for boys) in which they'll get sweets, bubbles, a party popper, party blower and either an yey patch or a tiara, depending of course! We got cinderella baloons from ebay, and our cake is lots of little cakes ith Mickeys iced on to them, and a Mickey shaped top cake, with a mickey and minnie wedding topper! There's lots out there, so just keep browsing around.
Best wishes to them, I'm sure it'll be great!

Scratch, the Cindi or Disney Theme . They are going with a traditional Irish wedding . Kim, her DM and DS went shopping and their gown/dresses . Her sister which is her Maid of Honour is wearing Clover Green . Her mom went with a deep Royal Blue . I'm debating on what color to buy . I'm thinking about a rose petal pink or honey dew . I need help deciding, ladies . It's getting close .
I can't believe this wedding is only a few short months away . There is so much left to do, but it seems like she & her family have it under control . :faint:

The dress in the picture is cute for a cruise, but it's not right for the mother of the groom. What about a deep mauve color or deep rose. Just stay away from red or burgandy since the maid of honor is wearing green (think Christmas colors):lol:
Just looking around quickly while I eat lunch, check out this color and style maybe

I see that dress as more of what a bridesmaid would wear and not the mother of the groom
However if you really like it, take a look at the Marine (blue/green) color because that will look wonderful on you. Also look at the little jackets so you don't freeze to death in the AC at the reception!! http://www.davidsbridal.com/accessory_detail.jsp?stid=3441&prodgroup=209
I can see you in this dress in the eggplant (deep purple) color with the added bonus of this dress having a fancy little jacket that you could put on when you get cold in the AC. http://www.davidsbridal.com/mother_of_bride_detail.jsp?stid=2207&prodgroup=59
HEY, did you see this dress on sale in the marine color :thumbs:http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesmaids_detail.jsp?sfc=193&sp=sales&pid=3737

Tinker, I liked your second pick dress more than your first pick dress. The dress colors are so hard to choose. You should narrow the color choices down and then take a snapshot of yourself in those color choices and see which one frames your face best. Once you compare the pictures side by side you will be able to more easily see which one looks best. BTW light colored dresses do not photograph as well as darker ones. The darger dresses tend to show the detail better (except for black or dark navy).

This is what I want , not a style too teenish , but then again I feel to young to wear some .
What is the rule of etiquette when it comes to the grooms moms dress , I think I was to wait till Kim's mom made her choice . Does it mean I can't wear a shade lighter than hers , meaning same color . After Kim looked at the marine blue and dress she liked it .

The marine color is more in the teal family which tends to be more greenish than blue. I love the richness of that color on line, but you are almost going to have to order one and try it on to see how the color looks on you.
Did you look at the victorian lilac color?

I'm going to try and find teal . I think the marine blue may be to close to Kim's mom . I think it will look pretty between the clover green and royal blue .
