Hi Tinky Bell and welcome.
I didnt book our DFTW with First Choice but I do know about the MK photo shoot.
You can indeed book the photo shoot in the MK if you are married in WDW, on my last check it cost about $800. I booked it directly with Disney.
Here's our favourie pic from the shoot. Just realised its my avatar!

You enter the MK before opening early in the morning and spend around an hour there.
Please ask if you have any more questions.

Thankyou Bec. However I was told we could enter the park on the day of our wedding and have the photos as part of our package do you know if this is true?

The Photo shoot is not part of a package.
You can do it on the day of your wedding but it would be early in the morning of your wedding and of course your fiance would then see you in your dress before the ceremony ~ some people may not mind this though.
As far as UK tour operators go, the photos they offer as part of the package are minimal.

Congratulations on your wedding Tinky Bell!
I have to be honest and say that i havent ever heard of anyone other than Disney offering photos in the MK? I was aware that First Choice did weddings at WDW but thought the photo package would be photos in and around with wedding pavilion etc.
Dont think i can offer any advice on the money saving front either!

Hi,
Like the others I can tell you that I had my wedding at disney done by disney and the rules are that no one but disney can do mk shoots.. its a law for them. involving insurance.....and you can have your mk shoot on another day( I did my mk shoot 4 days after my wedding.. which costs you as well because if you want your bouquet refreshed it was about 100 dollars and bouttonierre was about 30...more money spent..eekk) besides your wedding day but you must book it way in advance.. It is over 800 dollars now from what i have been told.. this gets you an hour in the park with a disney photographer...it also gets you the folder of 12 pics.. its really cute.. I don't know what it costs now but all the proofs cost about 200 dollars...so if you want more then the 12 pics you must buy them...so expect to pay around 1000. or more in total for all that.. its worth it but its expensive.. and money saving...well, there really is not a lot of ways to save money at disney..truly I cannot tell you.. I had an enlarged intimate and it still cost me almost as much as having a custom...good luck..

Hiya
I recently got married at Disney at the yacht club, and we didnt do the MK photo shoot- we were tempted but it was a lot of money and would have involved getting up pretty early with the wedding clothes on again! What we did do was change into the civvies and go to Magic Kingdom in the afternoon (we had a morning ceremony) and grabbed every photopass person in sight, and got some lovely photographs with the castle that way, and we had our wedding ears on.
As for money saving, on the wedding itself there's not much you can do as prices are pretty standard whoever you book with, although we did it with Disney direct- it was a good service and the exchange rate made it a bit cheaper. Going for an intimate ceremony as a package wil also save you money, although we added Mickey and Minnie and Cinderellas coach to ours which bumped the price up a fair bit, but was well worth it!
In general though, I really recommend you join the Disney honeymoon registry to receive gifts tyhat way, it all goes on a gift card and essentially you can spend it on what you want ,although people pay for specific experiences so you should really do them if possible. Great for meals and souvenirs though, we managed to go away without ghaving to budget and it was fantastic!
