I will be video streaming Live from the Disney Wonder as it sails away on July 3rd!

I will be wearing a webcam and carrying a laptop with a Sprint EVDO mobile internet card during the Sail Away Party as the Disney Wonder leaves Port Canaveral.

I setup the system last night and it works like a charm. Gotta test it walking around before we actually go, maybe I'll go to Epcot for Illuminations :yes: I will let you all know when I do the test run.

And yes, the laptop is in my backpack with the lid closed. There is a setting where you can specify that when the lid is closed it simply turns off the screen without powering off or hibernating it :yes:

ustream is working really slow, maybe because it's sat night and there are a lot of people using the service, I'm heading over to World Showcase and will still try to stream, stay tuned.

yep got that all straight in my mind now :) it was absolutely brilliant to watch it live, so much better than a recording. Weird, kinda being there but not. Came to the end and I had this sudden thought should I go front for the bus or international gateway for a drink at yacht club :lol:

It really was good, very responsive! Easily able to see the fireworks launch and explode in time to the music. Any time you moved your head it became a blur, updates just not quite fast enough for that unless you move veerrry slowly, and sound clipping... was perfect in the less loud bits

I have it very low in framerates 6fps, so it can stream without choking, yes gotta watch for head movements since it blurs, that should not be a problem during the day, and gotta lower the pickup on the mic so it does not crack when it's loud, thanks for the input!

I will start transmitting from the stateroom as soon as we get in there, we have a veranda on starboard (right) side facing Port Canaveral.

I will go mobile around 4:30 EDT (Eastern Daylight Savings Time) which will be 8:30 over in UK and try to stay connected as long as I can since the we'll lose the signal around 15 to 20 miles at sea.
