Hi
Here's our situation we're heading to the world next october Me, DH & 2 kids (5 & 2) and my parents. We'll be there for 2 weeks.
My parents want to stay in a villa we want 5 days in disney and 2 at HRH then the rest at villa.
My parents are also going to the world the following feb with my brother and his kids.
If my parents were to get annual passes in advance and exchange them on our holiday could we book the disney hotel under their names and get their annual pass holder discount? And what kind of discounts are usually available - we usually stay at the value resorts but are open to suggestions!
Also they get to park free right?
Are passholders allowed to add the dining plan to a hotel booking?
The DDE card - is this worth it - would they get the discount on our entire bill - for the 6 of us? I'm not too sure how this works as it's never been an option for us before. We do like to eat on site which is why we wanted the dining plan but would we be better just getting the DDE card?

Questions questions? Sorry about this folks but the little on has just turned 1 and after a manic year with not much spare time I hope to be back online in serious planning mode - so expect the questinos to come thick and fast!!!
Cheers

Hi Jan
All of your questions are easy to answer. If your parents have the AP they can get rooms for a discount at WDW but they have to be staying in the room. It also allows you to get the DDP with the pass. AS far as parking goes yes you do park for free if you have the pass with you. Every few weeks a new discount has been coming out for the APs which makes them worthwhile but you can only get the discounted rooms until they run out of them. The DDE is worth it because it gives you 20% off everything including alcohol.HTH

The DDE discount is valid for up to 10 people. The card holder has to be present.

If you are an AA member you can book a AAA discounted room if there are any available. Sometimes they are almost as good as AP discounts.
