This coming June my fiance and I are getting married at the Wedding Pavilion in WDW and then going to the Spirit of Aloha dinner show as our reception ( we're only having 20 people including us since we're doing the Intimate Escapes wedding). Since a wedding is the joining of 2 families (though I and my fiance's family only grin and bear eachother) I wanted to do some kind of luau themed (but classy) favor. We are going to have leis on all the chairs so we want something in addition to that. I was thinking of also putting on the tag where the bride and grooms names are listed the phrase Ohana (with family lightly behind it- almost like a shadow). Is that too Lilo and Stitch?

Does anyone have any ideas for me? I'm totally at a loss!

Too Lilo and Stitch? No! Well it isn't unless you actually put pictures of Lilo and Stitch on the tag... I think using 'Ohana as a way of uniting 2 families symbolically is a terrific idea!

I love the 'Ohana idea :) Very nice!

Umm, what about an invite/'voucher' for them to join you in the morning for the 'Ohana character breakfast?

Have a look at hawaiianweddingshop.com (http://hawaiianweddingshop.com/) - they have a lot of stuff on there, even if you just gain inspiration from it :)

I think that Ohana is beautiful idea. You could also do a votive candle with a tropical look candleholder. If you are only have 20 people you could also do a personalized napkin ring or placecard. For placecards you could do a small tropical frame with the guest's name written on parchment framed inside. Or you could do a photo of you & husband as a keepsake. Best of Luck!

Thanks for all the input! hawaiianweddingshop.com is a blessing! I found a basket of hawaiian candies that I think will do the trick. That way the guests have something to snack when they got home AND they can keep the pretty little basket.
