Hey
Well as everyone can tell I love this site, I really dont know how I could have planned my next trip (including my wedding) without this site and all of you guys.
One thing I have noticed though when i am trying to get some things together for the other people in my wedding party you dont tend to have much info on sanford it all seems to be around Orlando Int
I know most people fly into there but all charter airlines from the uk go into sanford so it would be usefull if you could get some rates of transfers etc on for here too
I have found all of the info I needed just a suggestion for maybe some other people who like me rely on you guys for everything lol :rotfl:

I have posted about flying into Sanford, we love the exec lounge there, there are not a lot of tranfers from Sanford as most UK flights in there will have people booking hire cars.

I don't know about everyone else but i thought it was much quicker using Sanford than Int. especially going through immigration and baggage collection and collecting your hire car.
I know it is further away but we got to our villa quicker than when we went to Int.

Sanford is an easy airport, we were off the plane and through customs in about 30 mins, but the car hire place held us up, the queue was huge.
Children werent allowed in the queue, which meant that i couldnt queue and feed my newborn at the same time( which i normally did, i fed her anywhere and everywhere). I had to drop out of line, feed the baby (for a good 25 mins) then get back in line, all the while dp and the other 3 children were stood around waiting too.

I would fly there again tho xx

I am hoping to include a segment all about Sanford Airport in a future edition of the Disney Brit Podcast. Keep any eye out for updates in the Disney Brit forum in the World Of Disney section

I love flying to sanford. Its so much easyier and quicker then flying into Orlando INT imo.
Orlando int imo is too much hassle getting your bag etc.

plus as soon as your walk through the doors of baggage claim, dollar is right there :D

Hi,
I'm not familiar with Sanford, and I don't know if it applies to guestes from over seas (though i can't imagine why it wouldn't) but we fly into Orlando Int specifically so we can use Disney's Magic Express. They send you special luggage tags for your bags and upon arrival all you have to do is go to the queing area for the Magic Express, check in (have a copy of your reservation) and they will direct you to a line for your resort. They have coach busses that take you to your resort (no rental car needed) and they bring your bags to your room withing 3 or 4 hours of arrival. Depending on the airline company (South West dosen't participate) , when you ready to leave your bags are checked in for you by Disney again so all you have to do is deal with your carry on totes. If you are not planning on leaving property durring your vacation it might be worth checking into and seeing if it is available for over-seas guests

yes it is available for over seas guests but the majority of direct flights from the uk (apart from virgin) fly into sanford
