Hello

I don't know about WDW but I just renewed our APs for Disneyland and they now let you pay over 12 months. For a renew they take the annual cost and divide it by 12. For a new AP you pay the one day ticket up front and they divide the rest by 12.
I was like  when I saw this new option to pay for your AP. I know it is not very nice of me but the first thing that came into my mind was "oh no now every one will have one and it will be packed all the time" This year for sure because you can get the one day free on your B-day and then you can up grade to an AP and if you live in So. Cal I think that could be less then $10 a month.

This isn't available for WDW and must be new for DLand. Thanks for sharing

More info for new APs. My co-worker got a new AP a few days ago and he had to pay the one day ticket price which is $69 and he also had to pay the first monthly payment of $16.67. He got the deluxe AP which cost $269 and is valid for 315 days in the year.
Yeah this is new for Disneyland, I've had APs for a few years now and have never seen this before.

Sounds great for people that can't afford to pay all at once. Like you say though, it will probably make a difference to crowds, more locals are likely to snap up that offer.
