Not sure if this is the right place to post this but interested in any opinions anyone may have who has used the Escape Lounge at manchester Airport?
We are flying out of T2 at Manchester (Virgin) and I'm thinking of booking it as a suprise for my DH as it's his birthday the day after.
How many people were there (we're flying 8th June), what were the snacks/drinks like, how long can you stay, etc.
thanks in advance.

We've used the Escape Lounge about 4 times now and we both think it is a great 'escape' from the zoo that is Terminal 2!!
We have only been there at breakfast time, but there are cereals, fresh fruit, whole and prepared, lovely yogurts, pastries, croissants and fresh toast. There are also crisps and biscuits, different coffees and teas, juices, bottled water and alcohol, though we have never had any alcohol at 8am yet!!! There are no cooked breakfast options.
There are 2 sides to the lounge, not sure of the difference. I think there might be some computer stations on the side we haven't been on. There is a tv too, magazines and daily papers.
People were coming and going all the time and we haven't had a problem gettign cosy spot to relax.
I believe the time limit is 3 hours.

thanks for the quick reply - think will book this, sounds just what we'll be looking for if it's nice & quiet!
Have nothing against children, just can't stand it when parents can't control their excited children in aiport terminals!
Thanks again.

Thanks for the warning! I read that under 8s not allowed but we're off in June so they should all be in school - shouldn't they

We haven't seen any in there to be honest, but I did read a report from somebody who had a bad experience during the summer holidays.
You can just go out the door, down the stairs and you are right in the hub of things. It is wonderful to go back up!!!!!

There is also a Servisair lounge next to the Escape which my son uses and I have heard good reports of that one too.

We found the last time we went it was heaving, we had trouble finding a seat - good job there were only 2 of us. We were there in August though. However, once we did get a seat, it was wonderful, very relaxing
