Hi guys,
My other half and i are flying to orlando in Sept from Gatwick and we are flying with Virgin.
Can anyone shed a little light on a few things for me please?
We are checking in at Gatwick, say our flight is a t midday, when would be the best time to go and check in? and are we granteed seats togethers or would we have to get there early to make sure we could get a seat together because the last thing i want to do is spend an excting 9 hour flight at the other end of the plane from my other half, when im not very good at flying anyway. lol
Also does anyine know about luggage allowance? how many cases are we allowed each and the weight allowance? i want to take as little as possible but when come back i want to bring back as much as possible!
We also have the Vroom complimentary so can anyone give me any inforamation on the one in Gatwick? What do you get in it? What is is like? And on the flight do they still have the games console things in your seats?? i remeber them from when i was younger. that wuld be great to help pass the time. Well thanks in advance for any info.

We always go from Gatwick, but we get there way to early really, about 4 hrs before.Because we get there early check-in is usually quiet, but they can change your seats when you get there.Last time we requested 3 together, but i was about 8 rows in front of DW and DD when we took off so theres no guarantees, but i think the earlier you get there the more chance you have of being together. As for games its hit or miss depending on what plane you get.I will say they seem to be the older ones,IMO but you may get lucky.

We always check in the night before via twilight checkin, so you get rid of the bags and get seats sorted the night before. We then stay over at the Gatwick Hilton and get a lie in rather than needing an early start.

If you can't do that then you can do diy checkin online 24 hours before (I think) so again you'll have your seats sorted before the actual day. Otherwise get there as early on the day, but there'll be no guarantees.

I agree about the planes. They have historically been older ones than we've had for other USA locations with Virgin, but usually have basic games. Bag allowances are 2x23Kg each at the moment I think.

Happy planning,
Ali

There are 8 planes that fly the MCO route, of these 3 have games. :)

i have sent you a message see your inbox
Don`t delay reserve your virgin flight seats NOW , on line..
the chances of being seated together on the day of your flight without a reservation i believe are slim !!!!!!
my flight on Sept 28th from gatwick , is virtually full with all the seating reserved ,
