Yes, it is very possible to see everything at US and Islands of Adventure in two days. The parks are much smaller than Disney's and can be covered much more quickly.

What ever you do don't miss Spider Man ride in IOA.
It was the highlight of my 10 year olds visit. Especially as Spider Man posed for photos and signed autographs whilst we waited in line.
we got there early and rode the ride loads of times. Use your express pass.

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are brilliant:thumbs: There are some really great rides and other attractions.
Some of the best rides in Orlando are here such as: Spiderman, Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster, Jurassic Park, E.T, Men In Black, Jaws... and many others.
If you get there early for IOA, you'll be able to cover the main rides really quickly. I'd recommend going on Spiderman and the Hulk first as these are the most popular:)
If you need any other info, don't hesitate to ask us!:D

Universal and IOA are fantastic.
If you're a thrill-ride freak you'll love it. There's some really good coasters in IOA especially. Duelling Dragons is good (ride the blue one first!), and like aforementioned, Spiderman and the Hulk are excellent too - just be prepared for a it of a wait. You can also 'jump the queue' a bit with the Hulk if you don't mind riding single....

Highly recommend IOA. Personally I think it's the best park in the Orlando area. Excellent rides, and not too big so that you're worn out come the end of the day. Disney parks are good, but for thrill seekers, IOA can't be beaten.
Managed 3 visits while we were there recently, and would have gone back for more if time had allowed. Great place for cooling off as well, as when you ride any of the water rides, you KNOW you've been on them!!!!

Midge is dead right the water rides in IOA are the best.
IOA has some great thrill rides whilst Universal Studios rides are more like set peices and MIB is probably worth the entrance money on it's own.
My personal opinion is that two days is more than enough time to see both parks, although there are a few closures coming up at the Studios.

As uasual the crowds will probably determine if you manage to see all of US and IOA in two days.
US and especially IOA have some amazing rides probably the best in Florida so make sure you give yourself plenty of time for these parks as you'll kick yourself if you return without having ridden Hulk and Spiderman at least a couple of times and killed all the Aliens in MIB

Thanks for the info, but I have another question.
I'm about 1.7 meters in height so how many rides would that put me on? And I'm not scared of asking minnie_M!
43 days and counting!

That should be tall enough to ride everything. I've seen 4 and 5 yr olds on everything... Does US even have height restrictions?

Yes. Many restrictions on many rides. It would be irresponsible of them not to.
At each UNIVERSAL Orlando attraction location, signs post specific height requirements and warnings for certain medical conditions. Children under 48" (1.22 meters) must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
All shows accommodate guests with disabilities. The outdoor-stage shows have reserved areas clearly marked by signs displaying the International Symbol of Accessibility.
At Universal Studios Florida, children must be able to sit upright unassisted on all rides. Guests under 40" (1.02 meters) tall may not experience Back To The Future The Ride and must use the stationary seating at The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera.
Due to the nature of the attractions, expectant mothers are requested to avoid riding Back To the Future The Ride, Earthquake – The Big One, Kongfrontation, Jaws and use the stationary seating in The Funtastic Word of Hanna-Barbera and Terminator 2:3-D Battle Across Time
At Universal Studios Islands of Adventure children must be able to upright unassisted on all rides.
Dueling Dragons - must be at least 54" (1.37 meters)
The Incredible Hulk-Coaster - must be at least 54" (1.37 meters)
Doctor Doom's Fearfall - must be at least 52" (1.32 meters)
Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges - must be at least 48" (1.22 meters)
Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls - must be at least 44" (1.12 meters)
Jurassic Park River Adventure - must be at least 42" (1.07 meters)
Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man - must be at least 40" (1.02 meters)
Pteranadon Flyers - must be at least 40" (1.02 meters)
Woody Woodpeckers Nuthouse Coaster - must be at least 36"
Men In Black: Alien Attack - must be at least 42"
Guests must be at least 36" to ride the Flying Unicorn coaster. Flyers is designed for children 36" to 56" tall. Guests over 56" must be accompanied by a child meeting this requirement.
Due to the nature of the attractions, expectant mothers are requested to avoid riding The Incredible Hulk Coaster, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom's Fearfall, Dueling Dragons, Jurassic Park River Adventure, Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, Cat In The Hat, Storm Force Accellatron, Flying Unicorn or Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges. We have provided comfortable areas where you may wait for your party.

That's good info, Dawn.
I can at least, warn DD that there will be quite a few things that she can't go on. She hates it, but these are rides she wouldn't want to do anyway!
Oh the reasoning od children:confused:
BTW I noticed!!! you've got a foreign language at the bottom of your posts now!!!
Come on, spill the beans!!!
All I can do is Menu French, and a rude word in Greek!!! :hehe:

The first time I went to IoA, I hated it. It was still new and my son was not able to ride much. He was not able to ride the majority of rides. Now that he is bigger, there are very few rides that he cannot do. He still is too small for the rollercoasters, but that is about it.
I think that two days is fine for these two parks. I would recommend doing the Hanna-Barbara ride before it is gone. I will be going there on Sunday for the last day of Kong. I have already RSVPed for the Annual Passholders event that day.

Which annual pass do you refer to.?We are going to get AP's for universal & IOA , but with blackout days. Which one have you got and what are the special events you mentioned? You are the first person I have seen on the boards with one.

What do you think Dawn? ;)

Well it's a confusing one. It says "I have a plan, and it involves spoons." I thought I had the correct translation, but........
When you run it through a translator from English to Spanish you get - Tengo un plan, e implica las cucharas.
But when you put in Tengo un plan, e implica las cucharas and convert from Spanish to English, you get "I have a plan, and implies the spoons."
I may just change it to Russian or something. :hehe:

I have the Preferred Annual Pass. There is not a block out date on my pass. I went to the final day of Kongfrontation. They had a celebration for the last day of the ride. After the park closed, the AP membbers were able to ride the ride and see a couple of shows and rides. I understand they were showing a new Beetlejuice show. Ii did nto want to see this because I do not enjoy this show. I cannot imagine it having much of an improvement. I am more surprised by that Kong ride closed before the Hanna-Barbara and Hitchcock attraction. They announced the closing of those two attractions before they announced the closing of those two before Kong, but Kong closed before those two. I was a little disappointed with the AP gift. Everyone received a Kong Keychain. I thought they could have given everyone a pin or something. Oh well.
