I got one for Christmas and just finally got it up and running . Now, I've heard that you can not upload pictures to most without another gadget attached . But mine has USB ports and from what I have read , I can upload pics, I just can't burn them to a CD . It does have a card reader also, but looks to be alot wider than my Sony Memory Card . You all know how illiterate I am , when it comes to these things .
I'm going to play with both my Sony's tonight and see what happens .
Anyone have one ...

I have a 2 year old Dell Inspiron, but its not a mini one its a 15.4 inch, but I just use my card from my camera straight into the card reader? Might be different than mine though . . . .

mine is an inspiron 910 ... like an 8 inch screen

according to manual USB 2.0 connectors (2) connect to USB devices such as a mouse , keyboard, printer, external drive, or MP3 player .

Tinker, the HD on that is very small (8 GB... for example, my iPod Touch has double the memory that computer has), you don't want to keep much on there. Mini's are made for simple word processing and surfing the web

and with that info, Methinks I will take my larger Dell .
I didn't tell you , it crashed , I got that recent worm and I had to wipe the lappy clean . Just waiting to install my anti virus and I have a brand new lappy . I lost some of my pics, but oh, well , no time to back them up .

always, always, always back up! Invest in an external HD (can get one for well under $100 these days)

I just got me a mini a few weeks ago. Yep, my husband hit me with the bad news that I can't download the girls pics to it. DH got me an external hard drive....(I think thats what it is) ...okey, so obviously I am not very computer savvy either Tinker:)
