We are going to Disney next week and this time we are not hiring a car because the hotel that we are staying at offers free transport to Disney, Universal and Sea World. I need to know if we decide to take in a firework show at Epcot, are there taxis at Epcot cente to take you home, if you need one, or do we have to make our way down to Downtown Disney where I know there are taxis.
Hope you can help?

I was wondering on the subject of taxis how much they cost? We will be staying in a villa in Orlando. Am told that it is approximately 15 - 20 mins from Disney. I would like to be able to have a drink and therefore not be fit to drive. I would just like to know how much I should budget for a taxi.
Thanks for your help.

I was staying just off International Drive near Wet N Wild last year, and it cost us $20 from Downtown Disney for a taxi, so you are talking that kind of price bracket.

this year staying on site.
but i can recall staying on international drive at 3 separate hotels all advertised FREE transport to the parks disney and Universal.
what they really should say. FREE transport to the parks however we come back at 9pm so you will miss Fantasmic, Wishes, Spectro .
this was a massive headache , what ive done in the end was buy a cheap mobile , phoned Mears and they came to the parks to collect us, cheaper than a cab as they (mears)hold 10 plus people, and pick up at various points on route, so they take a bit of time to get to pick you up, but because they then drop off at several places it works out cheaper ...
a few evenings we jumped on a Disney Bus and cabbed fom DTD, a bit naughty i know, but virgin brouchure should make it clearer regarding transport timings especially retuning back.
oh one more thing it used to take nearly a hour to get to the parks in the morning after the coach had picked up from all the other hotels .
