hi folks, new member. my wife and i (mitch and leander) are in int.drive for 11 nights and then the pofq for 7 nights. how do i book dme for the return journey only? last year we were just given a ticket as the result of a random conversation with a cast member at the front desk. i dont like risk and would prefer to have a booking! we are not going till april 2010 so i am in no rush. nice to be a part of this community!!!!!!!!

Hi Mitch, :welcome: to the UOG!

I can't answer your question, but I'm sure someone will come along soon and answer it for you :)

I just booked a one way journey on DME yesterday, so the answer is yes!! We haven't travelled that way before so are looking forward to it.

Mitch

I did exactly the same thing (stayed off site, then moved on for the remainder of my holiday).

I rang Disney in UK and asked that it be added, and it was no problem, however I had to keep reminding people when I was in the states. It was always on my record but I had to ask for my pick up time (rather than being told it automatically) and I had to ask bell services for the voucher to give the bus driver (I did this as the bus was about to arrive)

I can understand your wanting confirmation before you go, I am totally the same and normally like everything in writing and with confirmation numbers but I think you can totally rely on this service. Just play safe by following it up once you are in resort and make sure you get your pick up time the day before you check out.

We booked one way DME this year - to get back to the airport at the end of our stay. In past years when using DME both ways we have been sent a booklet through the post before travelling, with bag tags etc, but got no confirmation this time. I checked at our resort though and we were booked in - and the letter telling us of our pickup time arrived as promised the day before departure. So you should be fine - but checking at resort for reassurance is probably best.
