Well, it took 6 months but I got a call from The Timeshare Store this morning. We finally sold our 150 point BCV contract to a very excited couple from Kansas! YAY! :thumbs:

:congrats: We are glad we never got involved with the DVC , we almost did , but in the end they wanted more money down after the fact and we backed out . Things work out the way they do for a reason . I truly believe it !

I loved owning DVC. Unfortunately my husband and I are divorcing, and neither of us wants the contract. We'd rather have the money from the sale at this point. Maybe someday in the future I will buy another contract when I am back on my feet and my kids are a bit older. For now, this was the right thing for the situation.

Shame about the divorce. Although (speaking from experience of seeing my parents together v. apart) sometimes that is the best choice possible for two people. Glad you were able to sell the DVC in this economy!

So sorry about the divorce, but congratulations on selling your BCV. When the time is right again, DVC will be waiting for you.

Thanks for all of your kind words. It just stinks because we had a big trip planned for this December with several family members. We had a 2 bedroom booked at BCV, which we booked back in January at the 11 months out mark, a couple of months before we separated. As December 5th approaches I am getting a bit sad. :shrug:

HOWEVER, I am already planning and saving for a big 2 weeks trip for my 40th birthday summer 2011. I want to do a week on the Disney cruise and a week in the parks. It will be me and my boys, and whatever other friends and family members want to join us. So that is keeping me focused! :) Maybe I will use some of the money from the sale of the DVC for this trip.
