Id say your best bet is probably at one of the restraunts or food oulets found round the park, they tend to give you a funny look when you set up your picnic table in shamu stadium or at the base or journey to atlantis!!!:D :D (well..they did for me!:hehe: )
You could maybe head to Downtown disney or Citywalk in the evening! Have a look up International Drive, You'll never be stuck for something to do there.:)

We ate at "Chicken N Biscuit", a bit like "Kentucky fried chicken" it was fine, they have also got a place called "Smokey Creek Grill" and the food smelt delicious. I seem to remember picnic tables dotted about though so you would be fine taking your own.

Lol!! Kiltie!
I have this vision of you in the Kilt with an 'Argos fold up Picnic Table' muscleing (sp?) your way to the front of Shamu's pool to 'Dine' with him/her!!
We looov KFC! I especially liked it when in Florida last. So much better than here!! We have lots of good PS's booked it wont kill us to eat 'fast food' the odd day. (unless we get food poisoning, of course!!! :hehe: ) But if it is really 'rank' I will lose my sense of humour!! I mean what can you possibly do to 'fast food' to make it THAT bad!!! ;)
look I'm still on Topic everyone!!!!!

For those of you who didn't enjoy the food pickings here (I never did either), there's BIG changes in store for this park. The addition of Dine with Shamu & Terrors of the Deep restaurants are a HUGE plus (TOTD restaurant is one of my absolute favorites in the Orlando area now!), and that whole 'counter service' area next to the sky tower is being completely remodeled and new food areas are being put into place. Hopefully the food quality will rise there also.

Chicken n Biscuits aint too bad, we tend to eat there mainly 'cos it's something the kids will eat.
I have to admit, the Terrors of the Deep restaurant looks pretty impressive. Although we didn't eat there, we got a glimpse of inside and the food look pretty good.
I've also heard about the big changes that are coming, to be honest, they could do with it. We've not long come back from there (last week) and to be honest, it needs something there to improve attendance.

Only open for Dinner the place to eat is Dinner with Shamu.
Have to confirm at entrance of park and the cost is $28 for adults (not sure for kids).i think you can book up by phone but you still need to confirm at the entrance. The sitting is 5.15pm andyou are right next door to the stadium so if you want you can go to the nighttime show at 6.45 not far to walk
There is an eat as much as you like buffet and they have complimentary soft drinks on offer.
If you get in early to the park you can get one of the tables right next to the water and you may also get wet as one of the whales will swim and perform .
food was good and being so close to those huge animals was moving
