I'm thinking of going to DisneyLand CA next Feb how does this compare with WDW and how much time should I allocate to see all the attractions?

Also Im thinking of travelling with United Airlines has anyone travelled with them and how do they compare with BA / Virgin?

I'm going to move this over to the Planning forum, you should get more response over there.

Hold on to your hats, this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness.

Well, when we went to Disneyland we did everything (just about) in one day. That was before they opened california Adventure. Disneyland was a miniture version of Magic Kingdom at WDW in some aspects. Smaller mainstreet , smaller castle, smaller space mtn. It was really neat though , it does have some things that WDW doesn't have and we enjoyed that. I would guess that three days or maybe four you could do everything and then have time to go back and do your favorite things again.

United Air is a reputable airline

Just a story, our favorite memory of Disneyland was how funny we thought it was to ride Casey Jr.. It is a kids ride and we sat in the animal cage car (it's a train). Well, this thing got to going so fast and we were really shook up a bit. We laughed so hard because we did feel like animals in an open car. No seat belts or anything, we just were flying around this track in this cage.

Hi Scrooge :)
Disneyland is of course wonderful. Since I lived in Cali I would only spend one whole day there and that was fine, and when they brought out the multiple day tickets I thought they were crazy because I was always shattered the next day! How I am ever going to handle all the parks in WDW I do not know, but I will :D Anyways I do think two day's would be nicer, not such a rush and then of course there is the California park which I've never been to. Then we have Universal too. Knotts Berry Farm is nice but next to Disneyland so I rarely went. Sea World as well thought that is a drive, and a long drive in the other direction will get you to Six Flags Magic Mountain! Heck 5 hours in your car and you could be in Las Vegas, now that's a scary place, which I love to visit! I'm sorry I am getting carried away...right. Disneyland, wonderful, do go! Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom is the best ride ever, you just won't believe it!
Have fun

Scrooge,
I LOVE DL! I could go there for a week straight and wish to stay longer (I am a pretty serious Disney nut)! We were there last November (right after Thanksgiving). We had an awesome time. We did take a break from the parks in the afternoons if the crowds got to be too much. Hotels around DL are plentiful and you can stay right across the street from DL with some pretty reasonable rates. My favorite place to stay, though is Disney's Grand Californian. It is an absolutely gorgeous hotel.
Sometimes, we like to go to DL early in morning and then go see another tourist spot in LA (like the Getty museum) and then come back and go to DL in the evening.
United has always had an excellant flying reputation. However, not too long ago they publicized that have had some trouble with the economic downturn and they may have to file for reorganization under bankrupcy rules. I suspect they would continue to fly under this scenario, but there could be some adjustments to their routes. (I really hope it doesn't happen).
