Has anyone ever been to the Universal Studios Islands of Adventure Halloween Horror Nights? I was wondering if it was worth paying the extra admission or not, and also how scary it it. Thanks!

We were there last year. Had a great time.About 5 haunted houses plenty of ghosts and fog.It was crowded and had a Mardi Gras atmosphere. It was worth it and we will be back again this year. This year will be the first time in IOA but it still will be great. I don't think it would be ok for children under 10. McDuck

just came back from halloween horror nite today. we had a blast! it was not as scary as i thought, but it was a lot of fun. The haunted house were great tho, cuz most were in the soundstages. i enjoyed it and im gonna go back next year. hopefully next year it will b better bcuz it will b number 13. the only thing i did no like about it was it was way too crowded. a few rides were closed, so the crowd didnt quite even out. another problem was the smoking. i thought u were only allowed to smoke in designated areas. and the alcohol was excessive, but overall, two thumbs up.

i want to add that it is not appropriate for kids under13. i can be intense. for example, men jumping out from bushes with chain saws. a girl screamed and a mother screamed at her.. y did the mother bring her? umm.. another point. if u do go, u MUST see BILL and TEDS excellent adventure. it is a show, and it is FUNNY! b sure to check the show times. in my opinion, the fear factor haunted house was not worth the wait, and the house of scream is a must!! hope u all enjoy it!!!!!

We didn't do this cos we had a 9 year old with us but saw it on the TV in Florida and it looked great. Also we passed IOA on our last night, in the dark, coming from Universal, and I think it would have been good to do looking at the light effects coming from it. The only downside to it, which would make me think twice, was there seemed to be quite a teen crowd, a few of which looked the worse for drink, and it seemed to be quite rowdy. This was in the area between Universal and IOA. Whether they were actually heading for IOA and whether they would have actually got in I can't say for sure though. It was the only time I felt a little bit nervous though there was a lot of security guards keeping them in bunches.

My wife and I will probably do it this year, but we will get a babysitter first. There is no way I would take my son there. I remember going to it before he was born and it was very intence. The Bill and Ted show was incredibly funny and I am sure it still is.
